At what point is someone considered a professional gambler? And is it safe?

Recommended Posts

I will be brief, since the month of November, I have not had a losing month, from breaking even to winning five figures net...

All the casinos that are receiving my business, have been more than happy to continue giving me bonuses and freebies whether I win or lose and are always sending me a congratulatory emails.

It is kind of obvious that I am doing something that gives me an advantage. Lately, I'm even getting better. I'm averaging close to €1000 profit pwr day. Today I woke up at 5:30 in the morning and by 7 o'clock I am already up over €1500 in less than four hours. I will not play anymore today and enjoy the win just like I did yesterday, another win of over €1000. And over this month I am over five figures and net profit!

I'm not bragging, I'm stating the facts so my question to follow can be answered properly.

Is there any possibility that the casinos will cut me off. Will they consider me a professional gambler and say something to their advantage to be able to cut me off? I play the same games over and over. Less than 5. Always the same. I have a good read on them.

Am I considered a professional gambler? If not... at what point and will a casino cut me off?

In regards to your question are you a professional gambler - I actually don't have a definition of a professional gambler or if I did I'd automatically think of Poker players not slot players.

However you seem to be doing very well, but one word of advice we have a member here that also used to do very well and seemed to have a way in which he could win all the time and yes the casino did click on and stopped the player from receiving bonuses and any other loyalties. I'm sure if the member reads this he'll chip in and give you more info. You may already know who it is if you keep up with this posts.

Will it happen to you? Who knows, I hope you carry on winning though it's nice to see a happy Johnny instead of the angry one we used to see  :p

No way!!! As per your own words from just 18 months ago, most of the casinos and gaming providers are rigged. :p

Seriously, we've seen it happening with some other players too over the years and let me tell you it always ends up the same way - you will stop winning and return back most /hope not all/ of your recent profits while trying to figure out where did Lady Luck go.

So, a simple advice if you don't mind - enjoy your moment, invest your winnings in something different than other casino/game and try to keep Lady Luck close to you for as long as possible mate. :good:

I could not agree more. I also consider it a good idea to invest part of your winnings in something that has nothing to do with betting. One of the qualities of a professional gambler is to stand up from the table while he/she is still ahead.

Ideally yes mate, we're more prone to losing more and more and investing it to other "business" can make us more discipline to our winnings.

The real question is what business is worth investing? I'm investing in forex right now and they're stressful than losing a thousand bucks from casinos.

Well, I've been following this thread right from the beginning, but not really interested in making any reply as yet.

There is no way anyone can be a professional gambler on slot games...because it isn't mathematically possible to make accurate predictions on any slot game outcome, unlike in Poker or Table games. Not only that, the casino and the game provider will definitely intervene sooner or later to end all the winning streaks...believe it or not...and NOTHING LASTS FOREVER in this gambling world!  :p

So one day in time...that bone in your hand, Johnny, may be taken away from you.

I'm not bad-wishing you, Johnny...but just enlightening you...if you don't know it.  ^_^

Speaking about 'investment of gambling profits' I was in fact referring to Johnny's lovely family. Plenty of goodies he could buy for all of them with all the money won from gambling. ;)

You're right, in forex you cannot sit down to watch your trades, you may drive crazy seeing bars go up towards your take profit and then going back down hehe. You have to set up TP and SL, close the platform and then start to play at casinos :D

Yep, that's why I want to play slots than to invest a huge amount of money in forex. If I do I always think of "copy traders" where you can copy other professional trader's profile/portfolio and they will automatically trade for you.
