Videoslots technical issues

Recommended Posts

Videoslots website has been sketchy as ***** since around midnight last night, sometimes impossible to get the site to load at all and I've not been able to open any of the freeroll battles for around 24 hours now either. Bit gutting as you only have 7 days to play these after your last deposit... :( I also see players chatting about deposits going missing too, and that apparently this is all happening because of a denial of service attack on the casino.

Who would want to put so much energy into taking a web casino off-line? Would a competitor do this? Losing player with a grudge? From what I understand it must be a huge attack to cause this much trouble as Videoslots are using Cloudflare as a host who have a reputation for being almost indestructible.

Anybody else having problems? And does anybody have any tips on getting the battles to load? Some players are obviously managing it as there's quite a few players with scores as well as the hundred or so of us languishing at the bottom of the table with a nice fat zero... sweet advantage those people have today!

Hun i wouldnt worry about missing deposits in this casino i am sure we all know how reputable Videoslots :) are,as for the free tournaments i am sure they will come up with something, what worries me how long those ddos attacks will last   we all know what happened with Betat Casino.

Videoslots is one of my favorites casinos so lets hope they will sort out everything very quickly

I see now they have security measures in place, like CAPTCHA verifications before you can enter the website.

The free rolls last for as long as you have wagered 500 euros in the last 7 days. So if you wager $100 everyday, the free rolls last until the last 7 days calculated does not reach the 500 euro that is required to access free rolls. So this is not based on deposits.

I believe the key word here should be almost, simply because they are definitely not indestructible and if you have any doubts you could easily check what happened with both BetAT and Slotty Vegas at the end of 2015... :(

The modern reality is that no one and nothing could be considered 100% safe once it's operated/stored/accessed online. Unfortunately, online casino industry is not an exception and what happened to BetAT/Slotty at the end of 2015 is a blatant example what could happen to anyone in this industry, literally!

The 'scenario' of these attacks is pretty simple, but the consequences could be really devastating. Usually the 'hackers' would initiate a small attack just to demonstrate some muscles and leave the casino team and all the relevant companies supporting casino IT infrastructure down the line to cope with it relatively easy and fast. Soon after casino owners are told to pay a ransom and threatened with a much bigger and powerful DDoS attack in case they refuse to pay that ransom. Obviously BetAT refused and we all know what happened next, they've been hit by the biggest, most powerful and longest ever DDoS attack which industry have ever seen. As a result, their operations were down for days, but the full restore took months! Can you imagine the gigantic amount of efforts, time and resources they invested to come back to normal operations? Honestly, have no idea but must have cost them a 7-number figure, at least. Pay attention to the fact that by the time they were hit, BetAT/Slotty were considered by man players to be the undisputed number one among online casinos... And now, surprise, surprise... We have VideoSlost, again considered my many many players as the current #1 casino, suffering from DDoS attack and hosted by the the same CloudFlare...

Too many coincidences or too many matches? I don't know to be honest, but what I know for sure is that this time sincerely hope someone is capable to stop these 'hackers' from ruining another successful business! This is totally unacceptable and must be stopped! ASAP!

You also need to have made at least a single deposit of 20 EUR but I haven't wagered at all for many days now so my access to the freerolls will be expiring very soon. Not a huge deal and I feel much more for people having bigger issues as a result of this stuff, all of the people who fail to secure their devices and networks properly have a lot to answer for as I can only see these problems getting worse in future.

I never knew that was what caused all the trouble with Bet.AT, I must have missed a beat there. Total respect to them for not giving in to these criminals but wow, I'll bet it's cost them in the long run. I really hope Videoslots isn't about to suffer a similar long term assault though, I don't want to lose my #1 casino :(

Hi all,

I am sorry for the delay on response ni this thread. We were under a DDOS attack when this post was created, and we had to implement different things to stop the attack. We managed to stop and restore everything to normal within 24 hours.

Please feel free to ask any questions here or PM me if there is anything I can assist with.

Really sorry to hear this Daniel and I'm very pleased to hear you managed to get things under control quickly. I would *hate* for Videoslots to have the kind of trouble Bet.AT did, as ValDes was talking about earlier in this thread, I do at least half of my gaming at VS and some weeks it's the only place I play at all if I am trying for a decent place in the race!
