globalgamer
I am new to the forum and new to online gaming. After finally getting tired of very late nights, endless clouds of smoke, and questionable return to player stats on slot machines at various overseas land based casinos - I was drawn into the world of online gaming. I like the fact that the payback is set by each game provider, not the online casino itself (as I understand it at this time). So when you're playing games by Netent, Microgaming, Betsoft, etc., you are actually playing through a portal to their site, and the gaming site you are logged in to does not affect the actual return to player (although they may place some caps on bonuses etc.). After some very questionable extended sessions (thousand of dollars on way too many occasions) at land based casinos, especially in countries that lack regulations or those with questionable regulatory oversight, it made sense to go direct to the source. I just want to ask if I am on the right track with this, or if I have it wrong (I hope not). Meanwhile, I have played at many online casinos the last 4-5 weeks and overall it has gone well, the games seem to have better overall payback or at least user experience (not entirely cold for example, some wins, some losses, good balance). Found a few bad casinos, and some great ones, but not sure I found the perfect fit yet so still searching. I am not lucky enough to live in Vegas so I am always concerned about land based slot machine payback especially with server based slots in foreign jurisdictions. Thank you in advance for any feedback. Conor@Trada

It sounds to me that you certainly are on the right track. Everyone of us here is different, many of us share the love of the same slots even the same casinos but I can assure you we all play in our own different way. There is no right or wrong way in my opinion, what works for you works for you and that's it. It will take time to find your niche. You'll soon start discovering which games work best for you and which games to stay away from. When it comes to casinos this can often take a lot longer in my opinion. I've been playing for a good few years now and at the start I went from casino to casino, it's only after years of playing I discovered the ones that I will truly stay loyal to. The great thing about our site and something I highly recommend is that you check out our player reviews before playing at any casino. They all come from real experiences and they really can be invaluable. And of course please feel free to ask absolutely anything you want, our members here will be more than happy to help. globalgamer
Thank for for the kind replies. I am now further inspired to continue my online gaming journey. There were a few bumps in the road, found a few casinos I won't use again, and also some good ones. So far my best luck has been on games including Dragons, More Gold Diggin', and Bulletproof Babes. I am close to trying Dead or Alive, many people on this forum seem to enjoy that game. I really feel that for new online gamers its so important to understand the importance of reading the small print (T&C) especially regarding bonuses, and withdrawals. I learned the hard way - if only I joined this forum first.

globalgamer
Thanks for the warm welcome. I will definitely dig into DOA soon. Have been busy with a few other games that keep paying - fruit zen mostly. But ready for something new. DOA sounds great, nice reviews from all of those who managed to win! cocopop3011

Fiekie247
@Valdes I had my first 5 scatters yesterday on DOA but i forgot to take a screen shot of it, because there were so many people at my place last night for my Birthday supper and i was so excited and busy. It was on minimum bet though $0.09, but i got $225 for 5 scatters. However the free spins gave me like $10 extra. I think i am gonna play DOA more often and see what it holds for me. Most casinos i have played it at have been cold tho. Valdes does not want to share which casino he makes his big wins on DOA from. Hitting 225 with a 0.09 bet is an exceptional feeling and excitement, isn't it.. Yep, prefer not to mention the casinos I play mostly. Some people consider it in wrong way, as some sort of advertising for the mentioned brand while it is definitely not. That is why I no longer mention the name of the casino where my hits came from. globalgamer
Well after all this great feedback I am ramping up for a serious DOA session. Just lost $500 US at a land based casino for the third time this week, and won $450 this week online in two brief sessions. Not sure why I bother going to land based anymore. Hours of 5 Dragons (Aristocrat) spiraling downward forever. DOA here I come!! ValDes

globalgamer
funny - nice name for a game and good to know its either dead of alive! Well if nothing else maybe I can help subsidize your wins for NetEnt. I still haven't tried - have been on a Fruit Zen cold streak, followed by a few other cold streaks, and just rebounded with a game called Gypsy Rose, so almost ready to take the next step into DOA which I sure hope is ALIVE and not dead.
