SOS! GrandRio turns into financial problems!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone heard about GrandRio financial situation? it seems pretty obvious, that they are into troubles.

Right now website is on maintenance, but other operators with the same provider works fine.

Any other information on that?

Hello and welcome to AskGamblers.

Would be great to clarify how exactly you reached to the 'obvious' conclusion in regards of GrandRio Casino financial situation.

The provider has nothing to do with a certains casino operations. So don't make any hasty conclusions if you don't have any credible facts. You might give vtyyppi a heart attack considering the amount of money he is waiting from them :D

I just got information from GrandRio support, that the website is temporarily closed due to technical updates. So atleast there is some one working in support department.

AskGamblers Complaint Team reviewed and accepted your complaint today. Hope it's gonna be addressed and resolve asap by GrandRio management.

As an AskGamblers Certified Casino, GrandRio is expected to meet and abide to certain requirements and unfortunately, delayed payments and possible licence issues are not part of these. We are already in contact with their management and if they fail to provide adequate answers, we shall have to reconsider their status as an accredited casino.

Sincerely hope to be able to provide more feedback any time soon. Stay tuned.

Thank you!

I got information from their skype support.

"Please, don't worry, the winning will be paid. We have informed you on approximate time of the case examination. We value out players and our reputation and you shouldn't worry about the withdrawal."

So let's hope that everything turns out great.

Some updates of my case... I got 27 hours ago this Skype-message from GrandRio support:

"Thank you for waiting, you will be provided with estimates today in the second half of the day. I will try to help with the fast withdrawal and meet your needs."

But they have not sent me any information. No explanation, or apologies for the delay.

Does AskGambler's Complaint Team know GrandRio's management persons names and contact information? I'm starting to be very desperate here. If you have GrandRio's management contact information, could you send me a private message?

  • 2 months later...

I have to write few things about this. I made a deal with GrandRio Casino on May 10 th that I cancel my complaint which was this

http://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/21000-eur-withdrawals-not-processed-since-23-4

And GrandRio casino starts pay me 500€/week. They managed to pay me once. After this no payments. A lot of lies thou. Example they said they have paid. And after a week, they said there is some bank problem, they will contact the bank and so on. Only contact what I had was skype. But they have not replied me on Skype in 4,5 weeks now. Well I tried to re-open my complaint, but that was impossible, because AskGamblers said that this casino has been in-active for a month.

Few things about AskGamblers certified casinos list, which has about 30 casinos and GrandRio was one of them. GrandRio has not Guracao eGaming license, what the AskGamblers site says. It seems that AskGambler does not validate these licences? Another thing, AskGambler does not know who where the real persons running this casino. They emailed me, that only contact information they know is on this site, where is only supports email address.

Now I have tried to find who are the people running GrandRio Casino. I asked NetEnt and Microgaming. NetEnt said that they cannot legally help me, because my win was from Microgaming slot and ask Microgaming. I have sent about 30 emails to Microgaming I have only got one response back when I emailed them the information what NetEnt said. Microgaming said that they don't know who where the people running GrandRio! They said, that Microgaming games where re-sold to this casino by company called Mirax Management Ltd. I cannot find this company from internet. Only what I can find is this: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08554283 "dissolved"

Now I have tried for a week to contact Microgaming that they could give me some contact information to this Mirax so I could find out who where the real persons who owed and managed GrandRio Casino.

So it seems that you can run Internet casino, get to certfied casinos list in AskGambler, run the games of NetEnt and Microgaming Jackpot slots and no one really knows who you are!

If some one can help me here, for example give me information who are running GrandRio casino and if I can get some money out based on that information, I promise that I give 25% of that money to the person who helped me. They owe me 20 500 euros.

Geees, so sorry to hear about your predicament there mate. Not a comforting story at all.  :(

Personally, I've had several experiences with other casinos whereby my payments took longer than 2 months to be paid out, but every single dollar eventually got paid out in the end. If your case hasn't reached more than 2 months yet, perhaps you should give them just a little wee bit more time. The casinos that I had those very late payments were actually casinos that have a very low rating and ranking by Askgamblers, but they proved themselves trustworthy in the end, and still do! On the contrary, Grand Rio is on a much better standing and ranking, so I shouldn't worry too much for the moment. Hopefully, they will shine through in the end for you.  ^_^

Trying to find out who runs any casino is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The biggest problem is...where the heck is the haystack!!! Find that first then only you an start searching for that needle. In other words, it's probably something that Ethan of Mission Impossible may not even be able to do...not without having to spend tons of money first! Just my personal thought of course.  :p

Hi there @vtyyppi,

First of all, must admit that I am terribly sorry to hear that your issue has not been solved as promised by the casino management and that we didn't manage to help further. However, hope you realize that the AskGamblers Casino Complaints Service' capabilities are not endless and we are unfortunately not able to help in cases where casinos involved into the disputes closed down during the complaints process.

Furthermore, and contrary to AskGamblers Casino Complaints Service Terms, I took the decision to reopen the aforementioned complaint for you and although I don't expect anyone from GrandRio ex- management team to jump in and have the decency to reply and explain, please feel free to reply to your complaint and list all the details you have just mentioned at the above post. Players deserve to know what they could expect once the casino operations starting to fall apart...

Thanks, ValDes! I will update the new information about this case to re-opened complaint.

I don't want to blame AskGamblers on this. AskGamblers has done a remarkable job building this site and complaint system. You have helped players a lot and brought security for players. I think I got that 500 euros out from GrandRio, because the complaint in your site.

More than 20 emails to Microgaming (I had to write that next email goes to CEO Roger Raatgever, before they replied me) and now Microgaming gave me email addresses to eGaming to persons who should know who where responsible of GrandRio Casino. So search continues.

Glad to hear you finally got a response although it's totally unacceptable that it took more than 20 emails, doesn't surprise me with Microgaming though they're not exactly player-friendly. Keep us updated.

wow. thats a nightmare regarding the amount they owe to you...

some time ago i had a similar problem with a playtech operation, called europlay which also closed down, while promising me to pay my winnings (was just around 5% the amount of yours and it still hurt bad).

The lesson i have learned from that: i prefer casinos from relieable jurisdictions such as malta, uk, gibraltar etc.

curacao imho is just an alibi-jurisdiction so they can say "yes, we are licensed"... if i decide to play with an operation of that authority than only tiny deposits. I do not trust them. it is a scrappy iurisdiction which attracts a lot of very weird people, having weird attitudes towards other people.

If i want the no risk no fun game then i do it right and play at places without any license at all (costa rica e.g.). what is remarkable that after winning big from small deposits i got any penny i won into my neteller account - before the timeframe they stated in their t & c has elapsed.

Never feel secure when doing business with a curacao licensed operation.

I guess they took your and other players deposits and are trying to setup another black hole operation.

i feel very sorry for you. the by far worst experience when gambling online is to be betrayed by an onlinecasino.

Curacao certainly isn't the best licensing jurisdiction around but it is used by lots of trustworthy casinos so don't write anywhere off based on that fact alone. If I didn't get my 20k from any on-line casino i think I'd probably pack it on all together... that would just be too much for me to cope with. I pray you get your money vtyyppi
