BetAT changing their bonus policy. Your thoughts?

Hi guys,

Have just noticed I had a message at my BetAT inbox and what a surprise... BetAT is changing the way their bonuses are working. Here's the complete message though. Please read, I'll be curious to hear your thoughts about it...

Hmmmmm....interesting to say the least.

So will you still use real funds first or bonus funds? It doesn't say how much lower the wagering requirements will be so I'm interested to see how this will change,

Another question, I assume until you hit the bonus funds you'll still be able to make a withdrawal should you wish to? Then the moment you hit the bonus funds and have used your real funds, the wagering will start and you will need to complete this then in order to withdraw?

Am I understanding that right?

Here it is...

11.10 Real funds do not contribute toward the wagering requirement of bonuses, unless specified otherwise. 11.11 When wagering in any games, real funds will always be used first prior to your bonus funds being used.

The new wagering requirements is 30 times the bonus as far as I remember.

Have no idea yet to be honest, still didn't try how the new bonus structure would work... However, if BetAT is implementing such a serious change within their bonus policy it means there must be a pretty good reason for that, I trust them 100% as their bonus terms have always been the best throughout the industry.

As a regular depositor and bonus recipient respectively, I guess the new rules should be better for me personally as I have been dragged into further wagering on several occasions after big hits at the start of the sessions, but not willing to forfeit the bonus due to my greed. :) Knowing that my further playing /with real funds/ will contribute to the remaining bonus wagering requirements I have already lost several such big wins, but now it would be useless to do that as laying with real funds will not add to the wagering so I could simply forfeit the bonus and request a withdrawal.

On the other hand, 30 x bonus seems like a decent and fair wagering requirement, but only if there's really decent bonus amounts involved. In my humble opinion, 30 x bonus & no real funds contributing /offered by BetAT/ compared to the common MG viper casinos offer of 30 x bonus & real funds contributing is hard to decide, however I tend to choose the BetAT, simply because I could play games from different providers there. :)

How about you, folks?

For the better - for whom the casino or players? Hehe

What were the WR before? I guess it depends on the amount by which WR have been reduced. If it's significant, then I would prefer that, if not - then it wouldn't change things much from the way they were..

But then..

11.11 When wagering in any games, real funds will always be used first prior to your bonus funds being used.

Doesnt this mean that you would have to lose all your real money first for any wagering to start happening in the first place? :(

Indeed this is the predicament isn't it.

Let's say for example I deposit £20 (which is my usual deposit amount) and I accept a 50% bonus - I'll get £30 to play with. Usually I'll get the full £30 to complete the wagering whereas this change would mean I only have £10 to complete the wagering with. It's certainly something for me to think about being a small depositor!

Correct! You would use all of your real funds without completing any wagering, the moment you drop into your bonus funds your wagering will start.

If I drop under my bonus balance in Betat it's a lost deposit :D As long as real cash is played first and you can withdraw, if you win from the start Nothing else matters - Metallica said that not me :p

That's it, lose your money then we will give you a second chance but with wagering requirements. :p

It's a tough one really, my mind isn't made up what I think. I think in this case what you need to do is try it out. You'll soon see whether or not it's a bonus structure you like!

I guess we can rely on Valdes for his feedback first...

I can't play at BetAt...but I know where its at...hehehe.

This bonus structure, similar to that already adopted by quite a number of casinos by now, definitely has its pros and cons.

Playing with your real money first is excellent IF YOU CAN MAKE A QUICK WIN, without touching that bonus money...but nobody can really predict if you can win quickly, slowly, or not at all, so make sure you treat your Lady Luck right! ^_^

Personally, I do like this bonus structure, to a certain extent. Have won this way a few times, but lost even more times. The remaining bonus money alone was just not enough to complete the wagering requirements most of the time! And this is where the casino wins. But comparatively, I prefer this way rather than the usual deposit+bonus turnover requirement. Wagering on Bonus alone fits in between the two, in the middle.

But...if you want the best option...always play without bonuses...if you can afford it.

Johnny is probably smiling away...and maybe a few more others too...don't we just ENVY these rich players?! :D

Summed up perfectly. As always Afi.

You're certainly right it does have it's pros and cons and I think its a bonus structure that will be perfect for some people, and just not fitting for others. For me I've never been a big wagerer, I've never been someone able to wager masses amounts. So for me I'd definitely be hoping for a quick win. But then quick wins and even quicker withdrawals sometimes takes the fun out of it for me.

Since I'm a low depositor the chances for me not completing the wagering for these bonuses outweigh the chances of me completing them!

But why you are saying that? :o

Let's say you deposit 20 bucks and get the common 50% reload bonus, meaning a tenner. Here comes to tricky moment as you have twice more real funds to hit a big win and cash out immediately. If that doesn't happen, they offer you a backup plan and the tenner comes in action but with 30 x WR instead of the previous 25 x (b+d). Seems like a fair deal to me, more than fair actually, especially compared to 95% of all other online brands and their bonus policy as the moment.

I dont understand how you have twice more real funds  . The term that you can cash if you use only the real funds is great but this is not a new addition to the terms.

I believe that BETAT had very good bonus rules, but with the new changes I think they favor the casino and it makes harder to complete the wager, especially for the low wagers. At least they could lower the wagering requirements more, 25x bonus since they had 25x deposit plus bonus. I think this would be more fair.
