Sorry to hear your winnings were void, must have been a painful experience for you, cause Springbok was quite a lucky casino for you recently. :(

However, please pay attention to the fact that whether you violated specific casino/bonus rule only once or a hundred and one times is totally irrelevant and does not usually affect the outcome of possible complaint. Rules are created and set in place with a good reason and you are absolutely right when encouraging other players to read carefully these terms.

As mentioned these rules are in place for a reason. Large bets leads to potential advantages to the player (RTP over 100%) and this leads to abuse groups hitting the casinos hard. I do however believe that casino's should be large when it comes to these things. If you are a new customer, most casinos will follow their rules very in a very strict manner (since a lot of abuse comes from the first dep bonus) but if you are an old client, lots of deposits (with and without bonuses attached) and we are talking about just a couple of spins, the casino should side with the player.

I had a situation the other day where a player immediately wrote the live chat and told us, that she accidentally pressed the "max bet" button and asked if it was OK. Of course it was and she kept playing and got paid. So it is my philosophy that while these rules become increasingly tricky in order to safe guard the casinos, they should also adhere to a practice of fairness. Unfortunately, that practice if far from commonplace.

A similar thing happened to me once although for the life of me I cannot remember the casino. I had just over £10 left in my account I opened up a game (Again I can't remember which game but it was from the Tain software) I didn't realise the bet was set to max, I spun and it took £10. My last £10.

I contacted support straight away not expecting to have anything back but thought I'd try and they kindly refunded me the full bet of £10. I guess it's down to casino discretion.

@Lilian - Have you asked them to reconsider their decision?

I didn't, although I knew it that I made a mistake, I hope that maybe the casino would not mind.

One push sounds pretty rough omg .... as to the max bet rule they should make it impossible to go over the maximum bet when such conditions are in force

far as I'm concerned allowing the bet to be gone over is done so on purpose so that if a player messes up its yet another excuse not to pay out ..and in this case

one single wager come on get real .

This is one of the reasons why I pretty much always advice players not to be "bonus hunters" shifting from casino to casino to get new first time deposit bonuses. If you are play at one casino that you like, the good ones will notice this loyalty and reward you throu through their regular promotional programs. Furthermore, loyal players do not get mistaken for bonus hunters and/or bonus abusers, which often leads the casino to be nice to you like for instance in the situation you mention here.

I fully agree that it should be impossible to go over the maximum bet- it's just another trap for them to catch you

Agree, I am a loyal player of CasinoEuro, made more than 5000 euro deposit in the last year and since then I always get super spins from them (almost every week) and sometimes they gave me bonus cash worth up to 100 euro with only 15x wagering

I understand your point but it is not that simple. The reason is that while rules are something the operator controls, your spins actually take place on the server of the gaming service provider. For instance, most GSP's don't even know if you are playing with bonus money or not. They simply get "told" by the casino how much you have available to play with and that is what you will have visible in the game. The GSP doesn't necessarily know the rules of the casino and hence, having the GSP block certain limits is not as easy as it might seem.

But don't get me wrong - this is probably doable. It is just not as simple. Especially not if you have 10 different GSP's that all need to be set up to deal with the rules.

Maybe this is something that will developed over the next few years. I'm interested to see where gambling can go from here actually with technology advancing at the rate it is at the moment.

It definitely could be. We are in a period of rapid development in the way casino's get and handle information related to the playing activity and further improvements in this area could warrant a system like the one we are talking about here.

I have learned long ago not to speculate where tech is going in this industry. But I will say, that it is only gonna get better. We have seen improvements over the last many years and there is more to come.

Yep it's very exciting I think! We can refer back to this thread in few years and compare how casinos have changed!

The casino declined the withdrawal only because I made one spin bigger than the max allowed bet.

Hello Lilian, what do you mean by saying ... only because I made one spin with bet size bigger then its allowed.

You breached TCs and everything is pretty much clear there, its your fault unfortunately and you must pay more attention, simple as that.  ;)

True!! With the introduction of both online and brick-and-mortar gaming options has been a hot topic in UK and other countries over the past few years. A number of bills on the matter have been proposed and those are expected to be further considered and voted on in 2016. Hope we will see some great casino advancement in upcoming years.
