cocopop3011
It was only the other week I couldn't praise Skrill enough on how they handle my money well and how easy I have access to my money. Oh how the tables have turned. I'd like to share with you all my story... On CHRISTMAS DAY (Yes Christmas Day) an unauthorised 3rd Party SCUM BAG hacked my Skrill account and helped themselves to £150 by transferring it to themselves. I had £153 in my account they took it all basically. I discovered I had no money 2 days later when I logged into my account. I cried! I kept that money in there for a purpose. Every year I go shopping in the sales after Boxing Day to fill up my daughters wardrobe for clothes. I couldn't do this this year. I contacted Skrill straight away. It;s now been almost TWO WEEKS and absolutely nothing has happened on my account. They have already admitted to me that the money was taken fraudulently yet I have not received the money back. The customer service is absolutely disgusting, they don't care one bit and I know for a fact that I am not going to get this money back. I have since read on numerous sites, from hundreds of members about the exact same thing happening. I have yet to read one story where the person has got their money back. This is why I have started this thread. I will never use the services of Skrill again. However I will hassle them every day for the next year if I have to. I will not let this lie. My warning to you my friends is please PLEASE make sure you update the passwords and security info on your Skrill account on a regular basis. I cannot believe how easy it was for this scum of the earth to help himself to my money. And on Christmas Day! I mean who does this. Skrill will not try and help you get this money back, I wouldn't be surprised if this is even an internal scam going. I'm not doing this to tell you to stop using Skrill, I am doing it to ask you all to please check your accounts DAILY, change your passwords. Because you never think it will happen to you. One more thing. Just before Christmas I signed up to deposited and withdrew at a new casino. I can't mention the name because I have no evidence that this fraud was anything to do with them, but I really should have checked their reputation before I deposited there. So my last warning to you all is to make sure your playing at reputable casinos. Thanks for listening guys and be safe. fantazista82, Afi4wins and Raptordinos
sanjabg
Wow, sorry to hear that, my neteller mail was hacked a few days ago but thank god nothing happened to my account. I don't use Skrill because they don't give their cards for Serbia.
blondie
I'm really sorry to hear that dear, that is awful. I use skrill constantly but it's really sad that it's easy to hack other people accounts. I really hope they will solve this and I can agree that support for skrill isn't really efficient. Let us know if anything changes Raptordinos and Afi4wins

sanjabg
I tried to log in after New Years eve and it said my password was changed 6 hours ago. Managed to retrieve it later on and I had about 100 euros on my account but they were still there. Raptordinos

It's actually shocking that a company who seems to be doing so well and I'm sure are raking in the profits every day has such bad customer support! Princessamidala
Skrill locked my account before I could even put money on it because it said that my information was wrong when I tried to verify my identity. I sent emails to customer support and they never got back to met. I could see from the way that they do business that it was better to use another source. Not I have Neteller, which isn't completely satisfactory either.

And actually the more I research problems I have had the more I keep reading of it happening and still yet I have to find anyone say they have received their money back. An update on my case to follow as I am due to phone them now
cocopop3011
So.... First of all Skrill claimed they could not accept my utility bill so I resent this and was again told the case had been escalated to a senior team and will be contacted within 24-48 hours. The next email which is actually LAUGHABLE - claims they did not receive the first page of the dispute form. Again laughable since both pages one and two were sent in the same email. Yet another stalling tactic. Again my case has been referred to a more senior team and now I should expect a response in a timely manner! I will contacting their governing body if I do not get a response this week.

ValDes
Hi skrill and neteller are the same company ,they all linked to paysafe. Hi Lena and welcome to AskGamblers. Yep, Skrill bought Neteller recently and Neteller bought Paysafe some time ago, so I guess they are all one and the same company now. Not sure if this is for the better though as Skrill overall support service was always worse and slower than Neteller and now have no idea what to expect, but sincerely that Neteller will not getting worse too. cocopop3011
I wish I could give you all an update but NOTHING! Obviously. I mean come on did I really expect to get my money bag off this thieving company who clearly have no idea on what the word 'security' means, or I doubt even care! A company a big as Skrill aren't able to refund losses through theft it's absolutely pathetic. And never ever will I use ANY e-wallet to fund my casino account. I'd rather wait a week to have my withdrawal and have the safety and security from my bank than risk losing money again. I have since opened a complaint, but since complaints go to the EXACT SAME email address I'm assuming I'll still get the same dummies replying to my emails. You can probably guess how angry I am ... that's because I am. I may be a hot head but it isn't very often you'll hear me slate a company/person like this but this is more than justified. I'm an honest person, living an honest life - If only Skrill could make the same statements about their company, I'll let you know if I get anywhere with the complaint. cocopop3011
So, I've finally had a reply from Skrill. Out of the £150 that was stolen from my account they have refunded me £40.53. What an absolute insult. They said the rest of their money has already left their system. I have no idea what they mean by this actually. Where the heck did they recover the £40 from then? Regardless of whether or not the scum bag who stole my money had the money still in their account Skrill should refund me the whole amount due to the fact fraud was committed on my account. And in my opinion its all due to their sheer lack of security. There are no measures whatsoever in place to stop anyone accessing your account (once they've hacked your details) and then transferring money to themselves by email. What they need in place here is a security measure. For funds sent via email you should have a text sent to your phone or email with a code, you must then enter the code to verify the transfer. You'd think a company like Skrill would already have something like this is place. Its clear to me that Skrill have no fraud insurance in place to compensate members which is why they simply can't be trusted and will never have the pleasure of my custom again. LeoDubbed
wow this is insane, they bought Neteller and Paysafecard and they only paid 40 of your losses? you know, hackers are getting smarter these days. About a month ago my Instagram account was stolen, I received an email that said my password was change successfully. I never asked for a new password. I tried to login and of course no access because of it so I created another instagram account but they wont accept my email address because it's already used by other user??? Another thing, I also received an email from a casino and they greet me with Isaac?? since then I never played ther no more.

Very careful indeed, now they can hack into your Skrill account I think you will think twice before using your bank account as a payment methode to a casino. Actually no, using my bank is much safer! If the money went missing from my bank I'd have it back in days because they are insured against fraud! They have it in place to protect their customers. Something Skrill obviously don't care about.
