abilene
Well I read a lot about casinos as I am really fascinated by them. Few things that I like the most about the casinos are that at least 65 million people play poker on a regular basis in the U.S. That's quite a number and me & my friends fall in this category for sure. And according to surveys, 80% of respondents consider that gambling should be legal. I wonder what can be the major cause behind this concept. If we have so many casinos all around the world and now even we can play poker and other games online, so why it's still not legal? If we have so many casinos all around the world and now even we can play poker and other games online, so why its still not legal? I think gambling is officially illegal in countries like China because of the culture and goverment, and also think that position is totally respectable; should be gambling legal in China? I don't know, that's a discussion as complicated as they may be a discussion about cannabis legality, abortion or even the use or not of transgenic seeds in several countries, or issues like those, there are always strong reasons in favour of and against; for me, there is not bad or good things but what matters is how we use them. By the way, welcome to AskGamblers abilene,

abilene
Oh no. So what do you have to say about that now. As 80% of people think it should be legal. What are your thoughts on the same?
abilene
There are now many forms of legal betting in Chinese Mainland including sports betting, lottery, and virtual terminal games that function similar to slot machines. Despite this, many forms of gambling such as casino games, mah-jong, poker and sports betting with non-approved channels are crimes.

DenniseTan
IMO, some types of gambling are illegal because they are not licensed and regulated by the State. Every State has laws that govern casinos and how they conduct gambling. I think casinos/gambling is good for the economy. They hire people and provide jobs. Gambling also kind of brings good camaraderie and promotes discipline.

I agree with the heavy taxation. Well, that's just my two cents. If you have discipline or if you want to practice discipline go play on an online casino with a restricted budget. partyhummel
