Confused about RTP – does it actually matter?

I keep seeing RTP mentioned on slot games, but I’m not sure how much it really affects gameplay. Does a higher RTP actually improve your chances, or is it more of a long-term thing? As a casual player, should I even be paying attention to it? Curious to hear how others look at this.

Long term over a sample size of a few millions spins, you always want to stick to high RTP titles. You are just throwing money away playing a 92% RTP game instead of a 96.5% etc. 

 

Think of it this way, over enough spins..

$100 of spins at 96.5% will return $96.50 back

$100 of spins at 92% will return $92 back

 

This ofcourse is over a large sample size and assumes you hit the max wins etc
