Great to read some of the anwers, really funny  . But that is okay offcourse, if it was about slots I would be in the same position.   My favourite tablegame is roulette, and I only play it live. Roulette can be a very rewarding profitable game if luck is on your side. Over the years I've played every imaginary system/strategy that can be played. The most aggresive approaches are the most rewarding ones. For example: start with placing one chip on every single number that came up. Double the bet on that number (or just add 1 chip)  if it turns up again. Play this way for about 100 spins. This is not a holy grail, but if there are lots of repeaters during this session you'll know what I am talking about. In my opinion roulette is all about luck, you never know wich and how numbers come up. A strategy can give you big winnings on day 1, and bankrupt you on day 2. So Always keep in mind: There is no winning roulette strategy, play as much 'hit and run' as you can.

I'm not a Table a Player and I just wondered - When you see these massive payouts on Blackjack for example - what kind of bets are people placing to win these amounts?

Say for example a win of £5,000 - what kind of bet would it require to win something like that?

Normally BJ pays out 2:1 or in case of a true Black Jack 2.5:1. So, if you won 5000 you'd had to place a bet of at least 2000.

Wow! Doesn't sound like a game I'll ever afford to be able to play then!

Unibet has BJ at 0.10 minimum bet Cocopop for you to get a handle on it then you can up the stakes when ya feel ready ;) like you bet 10p then 30p to hit then you can stand or keep hitting but the good bit is whatever you like invest into the hand you double your bets every time you win ;)! without spending much!
