cocopop3011
Okay so just before Christmas I had an email from Paf Casino saying they had given me a €20 free bonus which had already been credited to my account. I thought "merry Christmas Cocopop" and went singing all the way to the casino..merry Christmas to MEEE, merry Christmas to MEEE, merry .... Ok ...sorry on with the story.... Anyway put in my details and pressed log in but it just threw me back to their start page, tried again same thing happened, 3rd time same thing. So I thought maybe I had the wrong details so I done a password reset, went through it all tried to log in...yep .. Same thing again. Asked My partner to try it on his laptop same thing. I just assumed they had a problem on their site so I left it a day and tried the next day. Didn't have any luck the next day so I emailed them. Their response to this error was I need to verify my account for some reason...even though they had given me this bonus on an account I've had for ages and deposited on. So anyway I sent my UK DRIVERS LICENCE and a bank statement with my address on that was a few weeks old. I had a response back off them saying my address had been verified but they could not accept my drivers licence. They needed a valid form of government issued ID!!!! What! I sent them my DRIVERS LICENCE which (I added all this in my response) is the only Valid form of identification that is actually ISSUED by the UK GOVERNMENT! There are plenty others that are approved by the UK. Government but only the drivers licences are actually issued by them! Apart from your Passport of course, I mean in the form of an identification card. To cut a long story short (ish) they wouldn't accept my ID. I have two other forms of ID..my passport which is over my mums house because I'm useless and am always loosing it..booking holidays and having to pay £150 emergency passport fee lol and a Citizen Card which is only approved and not issued by the government! I told them...well basically I told them to shove their bonus and account to somewhere the sun don't shine. Lol no I didn't really....I'm never rude I just told them to close me account. I really don't have time for casinos that are obviously not willing to give away something free and run the risk of you withdrawing from it...which in my eyes was exactly what was happening here! Has anyone else had a problem with Paf casino?
LordCronal
Well, I do not know about Aland (PAF is gambling monopoly in Aland Island, which has large autonomy, though officially part of Finland), but in Finland driving-licence is not official ID, because whoever can get driving-licence in Finland. I know citizens from many countries who just live in Finland getting driving-licence. Anyway, I have always hated PAF and never played there, even if their official status makes them honest firm. cocopop3011

Really is it not? Nevertheless whether it is or isn't official ID in their country I would gave thought that rule applies as per country equivalent. So they should look to see what is 'official' in that players country and go from there? I honestly don't know what kind of ID they expected me to send. I could have got my passport, yes, but I didn't see why I had to when in my eyes I had already fulfilled their wishes...stubborn I suppose. But I'm assuming a Passport Lord is what they were looking for in this instance? LordCronal
LordCronal
Passport or ID-card (what is used in Finland and given by Police). So, in your case Passport. Anyway, I do not even try to understand those people and their systems. cocopop3011

We also have an ID card that is issued by police, by taking your passport into a police station, but due to so many fake ones being made no where will accept it now lol. Says a lot for my country doesn't it lol. LordCronal

ValDes
Paf is a decent and solid online operator (!), no doubts about that. Actually, rock solid. I'm totally surprised you are having verification issues with them to be honest. Probably some sort of a misunderstanding has occurred and they will sort the things out soon. If not...well then, you know a lot about our complaint section, right!

They simply would not accept a UK driving Licence as form of ID I don't have time to open a complaint for a casino I think are a complete waste of time! LordCronal
Yes, PAF is honest but I have other reasons to boycott them. cocopop3011
cocopop3011
WHat frustrated me about the situation was the fact they all they could say was they needed government issued ID which I provided them with, they could not justify why they would not accept my drivers licence. When I asked them to tell me an example of what I could submit they would just avoid answering that question directly. Valleys will back me up on this as even he had a go at speaking with them but it was honestly speaking to brick wall. Their loss and my gain anyway! ValDes
Submit a complaint here then, don't leave them just slip away if you are sure, your rights were somehow infringed. cocopop3011 and LordCronal

It was before Christmas and it's passed now I just thought I'd start the topic incase any other members had a problem, I thought they could come here and share it. And I just really fancied a moan. I mean I have the details if you want me to open a complaint, the reason why I didn't at the time was because at the end of the day it was free money they were giving me so I felt really stingy moaning over a freebie. Had it been my real money then of course that's that would have been my next step!
