Things i learned this 2013 to (Online Casinos)

Irine

Recommended Posts

Hello players!  :p

I just want to share my experience, lesson learned, other stuffs that i read online from 2013.

Always remember to claim every deposit bonus that you can.

You'll get some easily, and others not quite so easily, but unless you clam them, you'll never be in the running to get them.

Whenever possible, play European Roulette instead of American roulette because the additional "00" in American Roulette almost doubles the house edge compared to European Roulette.

Don't ever take insurance bets in Blackjack because the odds of winning these are more then twice the house odds of other bets and you're just throwing away your money.

Don't keep any cards in a video poker hand that does not have anything that pays out.

The worst you can do is get another five cards that don't pay out, and you're just as well off as you were before.

The longer you play, the more chance the casino has of winning.

Casinos always have the long-term advantage, so quit while you're ahead. Take your time! One of the biggest advantages of online casinos is that there is no time limit and no one rushing you to make a decision, so sit back take your time and really think about what you are going to bet on.

Make sure that the casino that you choose has 24/7 live help available. You may never need it, but if you do, you'll be thankful that it's there.

Don't chase after losses. Make sure you set a budget and stick to it! Make sure that you see gambling of any sort as entertainment and not a sport or a way of life.

You will almost always play in a different way when you play play-money games and when you play real-money games.

Remember that no matter what you are playing for, the games are the same and the odds don't change. When you win a bit, put that away and save it for later.

It depends much about how much bonus is, what are conditions for bonus and what is wagering. Thats why I dont take deposit bonus sometimes.

Don't keep any cards in a video poker hand that does not have anything that pays out.

If in Jacks or Better I have for example 2,3,8,10 and J, I always take just J.

About Roulette and Blackjack I agree.

Just my personal opinions. ;)

Is that coming from the heart what you wrote or from an online article? If it's coming from an online article then I'd say don't listen to any of it, if its coming from the heart and your personal experiences I'd say I'm about 50/50 in agreement.

I don't play blackjack or roulette so I can't answer those statements and I definitely agree that playing in a casino that has 24hour Live Help is a major advantage, definitely and yes the casinos do always have the advantage over you but I don't think you should look at that as a negative, turn it into a positive otherwise if you think that you will always loose because you be too afraid to gamble that little bit more ...

"The longer you play, the more chance the casino has of winning"...is that proven or just your opinion? It could also go the other way couldn't it and that extra five minutes could win you your first million.......

"You win a bit, you save a bit" .... Written in black and white yeah I suppose that's the sensible thing to do, but the big winners are the ones who were prepared to gamble and loose all their money!

"Accept a bonus whenever you can" .... This is how i always used to think, I used to preach at valleys for not taking a bonus until I started depositing with just my own funds and realising that I can then withdraw as and when I want to with no restrictions! In my experience accepting a bonus isn't always the "best" way to go.

And finally, your 100% spot on with "Don't chase your losses". ...... Ooooh if I had a quid for every time I've done that I would be a millionaire ten times over lol. Best advice you can ever give someone that...but you watch every time that person do it lol. Its human nature I'm afraid, instinct.

Thanks for sharing with us though ..... Nice to have a recap of the year

Never mind the criticisms Irine. We are all never perfect. We all make mistakes (although 'someone' tends to be always right :D ). Some things we say or read can be correct...some wrong. But what the heck! Let it all out to share. It's a wonderful thing this sharing, besides getting to know where we went wrong... :D

Oooops...sorry Sharon, I wasn't specifically infering that you were criticising Irine...my mistake! I was just rambling in general...that whatever comments or ideas that we put forward, will certainly have supporters and non-supporters.

Like deposit bonuses, for example. For me, if the deposit bonuses are 200% and above, I'll take them all the time! I don't really expect to win from them (but I do at times), but the extended slots play and extra comp points that I get from those high bonuses work to my advantage over time. Anything less will have to be weighted first. Low bonuses amount and high wagering requirements are usually not for my takings.  B)

But whatever it is, sharing of ideas should always be appreciated!  ;)

No need to apologise I know you weren't afi I just wanted Irene to know that I wasn't incase she thought I was. Yeah your right it is hard to turn a bonus that is 200% or more isn't it, because the more funds you start with the bigger the bets you can place. I struggle to find a good bonus like this at the moment though

Talking about high bonuses Sharon, Europlay Casino (Playtech) offers me regular 400% deposit bonuses! I can use them for several deposits in a day. But...as always...winning from them are a little hard to get, but I do enjoy playing them no doubt, hehehe. With this 400% deposit bonuses, I can play any or all of the Marvel Jackpot slots...and hope to strike a jackpot...but I haven't yet!!!  :D Still, having said all that, caution is always advised...cos complaints about this casino are around!

I'm not spamming here...just giving you an example of where you can get big deposit bonuses Sharon. To play or not to play?...what does your heart say?!  ;)

The problem with Irine's post is not whether it is useful or useless, but that the content is simply copied and pasted from other gambling websites! :( What we value here at AskGamblers is the true and genuine player's advices, coming from personal experience. Simple as that. :p

Yeah that's what I meant .......... (Lol) it's this keyboard mis typing things again. :-)
