Appropriate Identification Required by Casinos for Withdrawals

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was just wondering what is the appropriate identification legitimate and honest casinos will ask you to submit in the event of a winnings withdrawal request?

I have been asked for a few pieces of ID, which are logical to me; however, I have been asked to submit a copy of BOTH sides of my credit card (in addition to my driver's licence, a utility bill displaying my address, etc.). That mentioned in brackets I do understand, however, BOTH sides of my credit card?? Every minute detail of my credit card (the entire card number, the CVV/CVC, my name, expiry date, issue date, etc.) seems inappropriate & unnecessary, suspicious and very invasive to me.

I have not yet sent any ID. Please help.

Thank you,

Nicole   :)

BTW, thank you for this site. It's an indispensable must with online gambling!!

Hi Anonymiss and welcome to the AskGamblers forum! :)

Thanks for the kind words, we really do our best to help players with all within our powers. Sometimes even beyond! :D

Now, back on your question. Sending copies of both credit card sides is quite an usual practise by most online casino operators. It's totally normal and expected and there's nothing to be afraid of. The key moment here is that you should hide the middle 6-8 digits of the credit card number on the front side and the security number CVV/CVV2 on the other side.

More info about the whole withdrawal process from a casino you can find here - Withdrawing from a casino - the whole truth!

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you very much for your speedy reply!  :)

I quietly figured there had to be some allowable measures one might undertake to prevent the ENTIRE disclosure of his/her financial and personal information. What a relief!

You're awesome!  :)  Thanks for enlightening and reassuring me and an especially big THANK YOU for this site! There is such deserved uncertainty and distrust regarding the integrity of some online gambling sites; it's comforting to know someone else has done for you the investigatory 'hard yards' that may have otherwise left you ripped off and ultimately raging, lol!

AskGamblers rocks!  :D

Greetings ,

What Casino's will ask for to Verify ones account will vary :

Usually the standard requirements will be

1. Photogenic Identification (passport , drivers licence , an Identity Card (Government issued) , and sides front and back.

(To Prove ones age and Identity)

2. A Utility Bill or If they allow an Official Letter ..Bank Statement does the trick most times.

(Proof of Address)

3. If purchases have been made they may ask for proof more than likely with credit cards they will ask

for the front and back (as advised by Val'Des Blur out those sections to take temptation away from the tempted I mean we are dealing with humans here not robots ;)

Another example is U'kash you will be asked most times to provide a scan of the voucher , Another example if the payment was via Neteller they will request a screenshot of the account and you will show them the purchase.

For all the above if there's anything private you don't want people to see simply load the scanned image ..also with the scanned image make it 1200dpi .. load it into paint , photoshop , and whatever else takes your fancy.

Now for the editing part you know what you don't want them to see for example will leave out those purchases for xxx mags ,and etc ...you know what I mean.

Happy Gaming.
