ValDes
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but yesterday we get the next potion of bad news, concerning all online gamblers residing in Bulgaria! According to а decision of the Court in Sofia form 17/06/2013 and the State Commission on Gambling, all internet providers must restrict any access to some of the biggest players in the online gambling market, because of license issues, connected with the new Gambling Act in Bulgaria. Here follows the full list of restricted operators: GlobetBet7daysBet-at-homeBetfairBetfredbetuniqEfbetJetbullLadbrokesmorganbetOffsidebetplanetwin365DoxxbettempobetSportingbetUnibet888 casinoBet365goldbetsports No further comment! grieshifice, mymnBythify, JotaVianeit and 23 others

ValDes
I wonder have state any gambling-monopoly in Bulgaria or what is reason of thatkind of law... The answer of your question is quite simple and it's called "taxes"! My government is on a mission to "put its hands" onto the online transaction to and from online operators. And now all operators, who do not agree with this are restricted?! Stupid decision without any doubt and almost impossible to achieve but yet more than 100 000 Bulgarian players are now suffering... And it is not over yet. next week we expect this list to be increased with another 20 or more online oprators?!

I'm not Bulgarian but just out of interest what does this mean Valdes? That people from Bulgaria are only allowed to play at those casinos? ValDes
It means that from now on these websites are restricted by all internet providers in Bulgaria and thus Bulgarian players are not able to play at these operators.

I was watching a program only last night actually about gambling and addictions in the UK, and they are trying to get some act in force here...doubt anything will happen though..in fact..this gives me an idea for another thread I wanted to start Luciana
ValDes
Actually UKGC is ''on fire'' right now and preparing to imply new standards for licensing and regulation across the territory of the UK in the next couple of years! So, I guess there will be significant changes for the UK players, as well as for the Bulgarian players, in the near future! cocopop3011

Thammavongsa
But what i think they can use proxy website to run their favorite Casino sites
ValDes
Yes, but don't forget that most online operators do not like the idea of using proxy servers at all! And they will even punish you for this... cocopop3011
SickJoce
Proxy or VPS will do the trick if no Law for no online gambling is set..
ValDes
Guys, you are missing something important here. Online casinos are using sophisticated IT systems and geotargeting, which could easily resolve any IP and report when a proxy is detected and/or a VPN! And I know some casinos, which will ban you in the very first second if such an issue occurs..

You maybe are right about the Proxy, but using a VPS is pretty much bulletproof unless Casinos/Bookies rules apply or have been banned from operating in the Country. peleus
I think some ISPs have this configured so they could save some cash. If the reason was valid though, then I guess they would also understand.
