Advise on PlayOJO casino are they a genuine operation?

Recommended Posts

Hi all after a bit of advice really,
I recently (last Saturday evening) joined PlayOJO and deposited £10 on a debit card
had some free spins which I played won a few quid nothing major and was bombarded with advertising from their "kickers" section about depositing more.
I decided that before I played any further I would look further into their withdrawals and to my surprise it said in order to withdraw you need to upload a picture of the card and a photo ID.
Ok I didnt think this was allowed for withdrawals but fair enough, I went through the process and uploaded and a message said should be less than 12 hours but may take upto 48 hours
if its any longer then contact customer support.
So I have tried their Live chat which turns out to not be live chat but a bot which then ends the conversation saying an operator should be able to respond within 6 hours.
And have tried emailing their Support address, I didnt even get a receipt with a ticket number etc.
I have tried messaging them on facebook (I did get one response saying, if I can give username details they would look into) I have passed these on but not read / no response.
I  have tried messaging them on twitter,, no response.

Is this casino a genuine operation or is it a SCAM?

Any advice gratefully received

Kind regards

Leigh

Hi there @leigha1977, welcome to the forum.

Firstly, without going into much details, whenever you get a bot as your live chat host (not uncommon these days), type in to speak to an agent. Usually, you would then be transferred to a live person host. :D

Secondly, personal experiences may vary person to person, but in general, PlayOJO Casino is quite reputable and trusted, but has a low ranking from Askgamblers as well as from players. There have been cases of delays and non-communications (could happen at any casino), so please be patient and keep on trying. If you're having withdrawal problems, then you can highlight your issue here and we'll try to help out as much as possible.

Hope that helps. ;)

They're kinda like White Hat Gaming - slow payers, slow verifiers but they're not a dodgy Island joint.

Using pound signs so presume UK? Technically you should be verified before you're able make a deposit - ID wise. (though i dont see many UK casinos adopting this - a few stop you, but not many).

Their support is woeful - you might wait a while to get a response and by the time you do, probably already verified - took them 72 plus hours for me when i played there a few years ago

If it's like some of their other casino groups i don't think you can see that you're verified (not very useful Playojo) so there's a chance you might well be now (they email to say you are though)

I personally have had a few not-so-good experiences at Skill-O-Net Casinos and have since closed all my accounts there. Will not go back to them either, hehehe. 😜

Hi all thanks for the responses.
regarding the bot, I tried typing something along the lines of speak to an agent, and was then presented with a message saying I should receive a message within 6 hours
then nothing and the bot stopped responding full stop.
A bit of an update, after chasing all day, messaging via email, twitter and facebook dms, I finally got a response from someone who said they'd looked and seen I had uploaded the docs
and they would escalate to the docs team as high priority. About 4pm UK time today I had lots of emails off them saying duplicate docs and I had been verified.

So I have requested withdrawal and is now awaiting "OJO process" so I'll see if it actually gets processed but so far I am really not convinced by them.
Its really odd because I've seen their Tele adds and their Social media ads and their site is quite slick, Its not for any major amounts of money either its £24/
Your right they certainly should of asked for verification before accepting the deposit

Regards

Leigh

@leigha1977  It's good to hear that there's some good progress for you. The payment may take a while to come, which shouldn't be surprising, so just stay calm and hold on.

For your next play, do some reviews reading here first to find a more suitable venue to play at. ;)

Few reasons why we played there, despite the not so great aspects - one of the few - might well still be, not played there for 3 plus years - who used to give a lot of offers so it was a trade off (though they have a lot of restricted games i think)

A few times as well they set free spins (at 50 spins): was meant to be 50p a spin, but set it (wrongly) with a stake value of 5 quid - kerching - they actually honoured the 500 quid cash out (wager free) - think the other one was 300 out (though later on they started to disallow the w/d's where they made a mistake)

Problem with them is that if you're used to other places paying quicker, have a slicker site (i think theirs is quite lumpy), better support etc you go to SON and notice a difference.....

SkillonNet for me was great then. PlayOJO is the only one I played at. Wager free offers etc etc.

Verification took less than 24 hours across the group (prior to Covid I played there last) Slotsmagic, Simba, OJO, ParisVegas and a few others.

Withdrawals on average 12 hours, but if after 4pm my time (GMT +2), then next morning before 11 am (GMT +2)

Re Support: Live chat used to be on point, but now takes forever, - What I hate most, you need to fill in a lot of information for verification on Live Chat, just for chat to ask you the exact same thing, before the conversation starts ( Pretty Pointless IMHO of course)

Yeah right, if I remember the amount of slowness or errors that come up - I could make coffee and come back, just to be constantly logging in again into my account after refreshing the page!

I remember the 5 quid spins, you mentioned, I got 50 of them as well with 50 ZAR value, cannot remember, but the provider was restricted so it was placed on a Green Valley slot -  Hot Wheels or Ninja..

You right many restricted slots when playing with Bonuses, hence I liked OJO due to wager free and no restrictions.

I think the messed up part was the constant change of providers, inconsistency of gaming providers, they disappear in a blink of an eye with 2 shiity ones added,  just to be gone by the weekend again.

I would deposit, hoping to play a certain selection of games - Boom suddenly I cant find it!

Withdrawals was also inconsistent with the time frames to say the least at times. ( 12 hours for a week, then suddenly 48 hours up until the agent do not know or tell you a scripted response of they are working on your withdrawal and will receive winnings soon.)

Felt like I was playing withdrawing at Slotmillion at times.
