Terms and conditions contradicted, looking for advice.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Very new here,so if this belongs elsewhere please move.

I am going to be quite vague about identities/details as I don't want to break forum rules. I'm not even going to mention the sport.

My issue is that I placed a sports bet (with a casino that has good reviews here, and I have never had other issues with them ) and it was settled as losing because the winning/deciding goal came in overtime. It was on the +/- totals market. With most sites that isn't an issue as they clearly state overtime not included, or similar

However with this site, their sports specific terms very clearly says that bets on this sport include overtime.

I queried this with their support and they told me that the general terms and conditions say that all bets are valid in regular time only.  After looking at this again, I noticed that they failed to mention that the terms and conditions also states (on the first line of the relevant clause) "unless in the sports specific terms" - which then clearly states that overtime is included.

So I am under the impression that my bet should stand as a win.

So, am I missing something here? Do I have cause to complain and push for this bet to be settled as a win (it's not a huge amount - it's the obvious contradiction in their term that aggrieves me more)

I have screenshots of all the relevant terms and conditions, just in case they happen to suddenly change - which they actually need to, one way or the other.

There are clauses in casino's T&Cs on specific items, like differing bonus wagering requirements, minimum deposit needed, max bet allowed, and so on.

As you have mentioned, if a specific game term states that overtime is included in the calculation period, then this would override the general T&C clause, meaning, your bets would remain valid for the entire overtime period...and so yes, your bet should be regarded as a win! 🙂
