Should casinos be held accountable if Live support offers a bonus and then backs out

Recommended Posts

Recently I connected to the live chat of a reputed casino and ask them if they have a deposit bonus for me. The agent told me if I deposit €600 I would get 50% plus a reduced wager down to 25xbonus. And if I deposited €800 I would get a 50% bonus plus "lowest wager possible" which was 20x. I was licking my lips as soon as I heard the bonus terms. I told the agent I would come back next day and he said no worries. He also said make a deposit and come on chat and he would add the bonus. Next day I deposited €600 and went to live chat which was unfortunately down for maintenance. I sent a mail and asked my matter to be handled by the agent who promised me the bonus. I got no reply for the next two days and finally on the third day a different agent responded and said the special bonus will not be added and you will get a 50% bonus with standard wager and if I dont want the bonus I will have to wager my funds three times. Let's end this here.

I want to know is it right of Live agents to promise bonuses with special terms that are not there in their t&c. Also when they back out what can I do. I remember @ValDes once told me that casinos are not obligated to fulfill promises made by agents but then why are they allowed to offer special bonus with special terms. What can a player do in such scenarios?

I absolutely think they should, but he was right, they are not obligated to unfortunately.

It's like in a shop if they put a wrong price tag at a lower amount then you get to the till and it's  a higher price, they are not oblgated to honour that price, but most reputable companies will in my experience.,  I guess the same goes for a casino.

Is it a reputable one? And did you get proof of your chat log? If so, I would definitely persue it further with them, If you deposited 60 eur then fair enough let it go, but 600 eur and now a 3x wager for nothing is harsh.
