European Casinos

Just look at what has happened to all European casinos lately. More absurd rules, more restrictions, cannot do this, cannot do that, must submit ridiculous documents just to get your winnings...blah, blah blah! None of these is happening at Asian online casinos. Not even necessary to submit any documents to get my winnings paid. No max cash out ruling, nor max bet ruling on bonuses. Bonuses need only 5x-8x wagering, although the bonuses are really peanuts at only 20%-40%, but they do just fine for me, for many many times so far!

As far as I am concerned now, European casinos are no-go and I intend to keep it that way.

Sorry Cocopop my dear, for digressing from the main topic! 🤪

but those Asian casinos won't let anyone outside of Asia to play at them... why don't they realise how much more money they would make if they allowed the rest of the world to play there. why are thei governments of these Asian countries against having more customers from the rest of the world. why why why?

I wish I can give direct answers to your questions bro, but I can't.

Asian casinos make their businesses directly through local bank accounts and local ewallets, for all deposits and withdrawals...they do not have business connections nor accounts outside of Asia. That's one reason.

European Gambling licenses cost a huge bomb (just look at the ridiculous 50,000 GBP fee for a basic UKGC license) as compared to PAGCOR and other Asian licenses. That's one more reason.

Asian Gambling Authorities can only regulate within certain Asian countries, so it's out of bounds for the rest of the world.

If the above regulations are waived, European casinos and Gambling Authorities would die out in time!

No worries at all Adi. I have split the last three replies into a new topic -just to create space in the contest one.

Feel free to continue your discussion here.

If I'm the owner of Dama or N1 Interactive, I would find a way to set up a new Regional HQ somewhere in Asia, get the PAGCOR license to accept Asian players, and together with the existing Curacao or Malta license, all continents would be covered...including the European providers games too!

At this moment, Asian casinos have very limited European provider games...NetEnt, PlaynGo, Pragmatic and Habanero...but only at a very few casinos that do have their Curacao or Malta gaming license (probably for the games only, not for accepting European players).

If any casino owner thinks the Asian market is not a lucrative one, oh boy, how wrong can they be! 😜

I have since come to a stage whereby when I look at an European casino, any casino, even the most reputable one, I would go "meh!"

All the existing limitations and restrictions have taken away all the fun and entertainment in playing my favourite games. Now they've even gone one step further down into the sewer drain by using games with REDUCED RTPs...what utter rubbish and nonsense!

My Playtech games still have the same original RTPs as when they were first launched over 20 years ago! That's real compassion and loyalty for all Asian players from Playtech! No other provider can ever compare, or even be at par with Playtech! All they care about is making more money and even more money, even if it means killing their customers!

I was going to say Eurocasino's are at a real tipping point but tbh it's kinda tipped already and unfortunately when it happens there's no way back - we're not going to see a reverting back to decent RTP's, of perks such as bonus offers for extra playtime and less invasive KYC/AML nonsense. Not just the UK but also Sweden, Germany has a lot of restrictions of the casinos as well.

Ladbrokes asked their player base a few months ago to sign a petition or something/bombard the GC over the changes but if no ones listening to the ones who pay the licence fees, they're certainly not gonna take much heed of the players.

N1 is still trying to open its business in Greece eventhough it has already received its licence by the goverment. Things are quite difficult in order for any european online casino to expand in other countries inside EU. Italy, Greece, Spain, France got absolute restrictions. For the owner it doesnt make any sense to acquire a licence just for France which can only be done through the Belgian authority. The licences fees are too high, they will need a department new staff and of course new restrictions when it comes to gambling, but dont forget that in France the market has become monopoly for 2 online casinos and the others open up and after a year they close. Funny thing is that the Netherlands openly stated that cuaracao licences will change in the near future and since then (2 years) no news came up.  Now imagine an asian online casino trying to expand to EU. It would hit so many walls that in the end its more easy to expand to Canada than here.

Not just the fees as well - it's the costs associated with essentially getting 'up to code' so to speak and putting controls in place to ensure you don't fall foul of the regulator. Not sure if the UKGC staggers fines based on gross gambling yields etc (bit harsh to fine a small casino the same amount as a UK Bookie). If you don't then you go into the financial year with possible large contingent liabilities hanging round your neck. Big boys can account for this, but some of the smaller operators undoubtedly find it burdensome.

All countries want to safeguard their own interests - why Aussie land did what it did, for example. Certainly not predicated on the basis of consumer protection, though they like to lead you to believe it is - keep taking the red/blue pills.

I guess it may be literally impossible for any Asian casino to open up to European and the global market...the obstacles and hurdles would simply be tremendous.

What I was thinking of, was the reverse, actually. An established European casino setting up a totally new Asian based casino, and operate the casino as any other Asian casino (without the need for KYCs, SoWs, restrictions, limitations and whatnots). That new Asian casino be able to accept players from around the world, via its existing Curacao and Malta licenses, but I really don't know if that would be allowed or not.

Alternatively, a wealthy European casino owner could do a joint venture with an existing Asian casino and expand globally...again if that's possible or allowed.
