Recent Gaming Experiences July August 2020

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I'd like to share some of my gaming experiences spanning over the last 60 days or so.

First of all, it seems to me the slots have been acting peculiar with a lot of errors namely during times when it seems like a win is coming and during free spins. Upon returning to the session, 95% of the time it will be dead spins with little or no "micro payouts". This spans over three different four different online casinos and several different gaming providers. The common errors have been:

Error communicating with casino wallet (or similar)
Error communicating with server
Session Timeout
Internal Server Error
Login Error
Or Just Error with no explanation

I can understand this happening from time to time as in the past but not so frequent especially with games i am familiar with. Some may call my theory somewhat of a "tin hat" syndrome but I honestly think some methodology is being employed due to less activity because of the "pandemic". Imagine a virus so deadly that you have to be tested in order to know if you have it or not, but that is another story.

Biggest Disappointment

I would have to say the biggest game fitted this would be Gonzo's Quest Megaways. What a complete sake of garbage (I had another word in mind)!!!! Megaways what? I am lucky to get 3 symbols on rows 1 or 2 in an entire session of draining my bankroll. This game simply refuses to pay ANYTHING out, with 10 dead spins, then .25 or .5x wins the game seems to grudgingly hand out.

After playing this dung heap on 4 different sites my biggest "win" was 5x and not even close to getting free spins. The earthquake in game extra has only happened on four occasions with three out of four being dead spins. Believe me, I realize some slots just won't pay you but this is ridiculous and pure larceny with a capital "L" if you ask me. This observation is after at least 2,500 spins collectively over 4 different sites. I lowered by bet down to 20 cents the last 50% thank God for that.

I have mentioned the fact Red Tiger is generally a provider I stay away from but I have had luck with the original Gonzo's Quest in the past. Big wins can obviously be had on this new "megaways" but for me it is "NOWAYS"!!!

Biggest Surprise

I cannot believe for the life of me adding of all games Dead or Alive II to some big wins but miracles do happen I guess. In the past this title has destroyed me but I have actually been able to get wins of 300x to 600x a few times shockingly enough. Funny thing how ones perception can change after finally experiencing some satisfactory wins and the die hard fans of Netent and this offering in particular are understandable.

Another shocking surprise is Blueprints Wish Upon A Jackpot. I got several huge hits in regular spins of over 200x in one session, then a couple good free spin rounds that yielded almost 1000x total. Normally the megaways offerings of Blueprint are anemic when it comes to payouts but you never know when lightening might strike.

All and all the last couple months of online gaming has been rather lacking of huge wins with a noticable amount of increased dead spins (way more than usual) or just pathetic payouts being lucky to get 50x out of game.

Has anyone else had similar experiences during this time frame in terms of error messages or poor payouts in general?

Well I hope everyone has great luck and finds this post helpful or at least somewhat informative. Cheers all !!

Not really tbh mate

Bonanza last week was running like a dream - 15 deposits last week, 15 withdrawals - one of those weeks, whilst not massive ones, was frequent 200-500x wins, close together. No errors but the NYX version was a tad laggy.

DOA's coming close to Wild Lines - we upped takes to 1.80, which as you know is massive for DOA2, and was one strategic wild away from glory - boy, the heart beat hit 160BPM for a good minute. But just short.....

Some shocking PNG games this week though - why i persist i dunno. That Beest game? - 900 spins w/o a bonus round and skinned around 200 quid in low ish bets. Reactoonz just as bad, constant alternations. They must have took a good 500/3k up from last week - easily.

Agree with Gonzo - seen a 4kx hit but the games not for me - like most Red Tigers, it's slow/clumsy and generally not very enjoyable to play.

Glad you are getting good hits on Bonanza mate, I have had some pretty bad luck with Big Time Gaming in general I failed to mention. I struggle to get a 5x win on Bonanza and getting 4 scatters to fall is pretty much a prayer, let alone 3. Most of the time, the bloody G hits reel 6 every 5th spin then moves over to reel 1 or 2 to block any chance of getting a decent win. Then ever 20 spins or so I'll get lucky and see 2 scatters. Same things goes with Big Chili but I have had some luck with Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Yeah mate, I got my big wins on Dead or Alive at the lowest bet and one step up. Every time I go to $1 or more I may as well sign my own death certificate. Dead or Alive is very apropos as that is indeed how the game works. I was even able to get a decent 200x win on Dead or Alive, the original. The wild lines are elusive as can be and I was in the same boat unable to hit that game changing, heart stopping key positioned wild. From what I have seen on YouTube videos, it seems you need to drop in 3 early wilds in one spin to get the jaw dropping wins.

Funny you mention Beest as I failed to mention I hit 500x on my first and only attempt getting a few bonus rounds mixed in with a ton of "Beast Spins". Play N Go are funny that way, or at least have been with me, when they pay, they do so in a virtual frenzy of successive wins over a good 10 minute period. Normally, I stay away from their games but of late I have had some success with a decent win of 200x on Book of Dead. Their other titles have not been kind however, especially most of their newest ones including the Rock/Heavy Metal fixations of late they seem to be having. Shocking is certainly the word I have for claiming big wins with Play N Go but they do happen.

Yes, I found Gonzo thoroughly frustrating and supremely boring but the way it takes your money is just like flushing it down the toilet. Horrendous and sad. Their Piggy Riches Megaways offering has the same tendencies although I have had some big wins with that in the past but few and far between.

15 deposits and  15 withdraws is a great ratio mate it is funny how some weeks can be unbelievable. I have been lucky to get some big hits on the live Evolution Mega Ball to help pay for my slots losses with a few $500 to $700 wins and probably ten or more $100 to $200 wins. Plus I do OK on Roulette.

Get bored sitting around as I can't travel thus I have been hitting the online casinos a bit more.

It's all swings and roundabout aint it - week before was hardly a w/d from about 10 deposits but yeah Bonanza was a week of the plus5's as well: loads of 17-22 soins, one 27 as well: then it dies for another month 🙂

Just feel i can't win on PNG - hopefully it'll change soon as Mrs P is in her first round 4 of the Rounders Videoslots tournament and it's that Ring of Odin - makes it through and it's Reactoonz - thought to be fair the other 3 have been PNG as well - That Athena game can be OK but PNG, like Netent have just gone down the drain. Same as MG. Pretty sad as they used to have really decent games back in the day....

Oh, i forgot! There was a MAJOR glitch with No Limit - Put Deadwood on, 20p, balance 20 quid, 100 auto....it spun the entire 100 autospins in 10 seconds! I looked down and the balance was 3 quid as well - L and L refunded the balance and pulled the game - boy, those spins were like lightning. Literally.

I was on Videoslots about a month ago and won $600 USD on Star Clusters and High Voltage playing at $0.40 a spin on a $30 deposit. Went to cash out, going through the verification process and they denied my passport as it is old and only 6 months left on it. At first they denied my bank statement but later accepted that but said I had to get a new passport. In their terms and condition it clearly states a VALID government issued ID or passport and mine is still in good shape after nearly 10 years. With that said, I'm impressed on their professionalism and quick responses unlike other casinos.

Anyway, I need to renew my passport but I wasn't very happy about the run around and of course, ended up losing the $600. For those reading this, let that be a lesson as there is no sense getting frustrated over something basically out of your hands and I didn't "need" the money per se. I know better and should have just blanked it and did what I need to do anyway. Gambling and emotion, in this case anger are a disaster waiting to happen. Case in point.

I really like how Videoslots is designed along with all the promos and bonuses to make things more interesting. I have to say their slots play rather smooth compared to what I'm used to but then again that would definitely wear off getting on the typical losing streak. Their offerings are the most rounded I have seen and their reputability is pretty rock solid from all the people I have read or hear from.

Kind of them to refund your issue on Deadwood as other places would take weeks or maybe never to respond.

Microgaming is certainly a huge disappointment as getting anything decent with any of their games is few and far between probably worse that PNG or Red Tiger. I avoid them entirely and sort of erased them from my mind as I have played many of their titles and the biggest win was only 200x on Secret Romance and 150x on Immortal Romance. And I used to play them a lot a couple years back.

That's great you have a Mrs. to enjoy the gaming with you as that would add another interesting dynamic to the whole experience. Good luck in the tournaments and yeah, 600 to win 1200, I don't think so 🤔

you say a lot of good things about Video Slots, but are you aware about their propensity for low slot RTP versions?

Heard that too mate thanks for asking. My living in Asia as an American has left me at somewhat of a disadvantage. I've had to play at rather subpar and sometimes dubious online casinos so I tend to set my standards or bar low. My citizenship does not allow me to play at UK and many reputable European casinos so you might say my choices are rather minimal.

The Asian owned casinos are not desirable to say the least and I have had the misfortune of finding that out the hard way. I have tried joining dozens of places over the years. Possibly somebody might give me a suggestion but I'll bet my cotton socks I've tried to join it before. One never knows however.

I used to stay away from slot machines as a rule normally playing table games in my Vegas days and Texas Holdem in the beginning of the online craze. I used to play a long time ago at Absolute Poker and Party Poker before they (Absolute) got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Back then didn't particularly play slots either, just Holdem.

They're releasing a new site Mr Vegas, think it's out now - basically a Mr Green and Leo Vegas hybrid - not sure of the business model for this as it's a replica.

As for RTP etc - think they're just forerunners of an industry wide move to lower ones; race to the bottom and all that.

Thanks mate, I had a look at Mr. Vegas looks like I may have a chance as it doesn't state the word "citizens" only "resident" which I am in the US in their TOS. Cheers!

The residency thing has always confused me and some casinos tbh - i saw one casino refuse to pay a Dutch citizen, residing in the UK, even though their terms  state 'resident of' the UK, citing the fact they are Dutch (confusing it with Citizen - that's even before we get into Tax definitions of a resident!)

Indeed mate, thus I quoted those two words as I have experienced this terminology being construed differently from company to company. One says we don't accept US players, the other says as you as you don't live or "reside" there Still others have verbiage buried inside the detailed terms and conditions only once you join that US players are not allowed and subject to forfeiting any and all winnings (or wagers) depending on the nationality of the site owners.

Believe me, I have had problems with both online casinos and an e-wallet company, in specific Sticpay. They initially allowed me to use their services for about a year and then about a month ago, emailed me stating your account has been terminated because an IP address was detected from a banned country (USA). I emailed them back saying I haven't set foot in the USA for 10 year. They said you are a US citizen so therefore your account has been terminated.

When I signup for a casino I try to push them for verification immediately (this doesn't always work) and also a statement in writing that I, being a US citizen can play. So far, only three places have done this without a problem.

I realize the "game" many of this casinos will play when a big payout is in order so I try to avoid this at all costs. This problem has happened to me in the past taking weeks to finally verify my identity (no doubt lengthy on purpose). I find this part of the online casino world to be really shady as I have read some horror stories from people who had been long time members.

May be All of us facing a similar situation.

Isn't that the truth, we all face the poor payouts or even no payouts. However, I have noticed a much more stingy "across the board" reality both in normal and bonus play.

Think if i was resident in the USA i'd probably chuck online gambling - though there are a few like Casinomax etc offering their wares, there are all these reviews stating 'great, cheque received in 10 days' - last time i received a cheque was in 2004 by Sun bingo...how times change, now we moan if withdrawals aren't processed in 6 hours 😉

Casinoeuro point blank refused to verify me before deposit once - told me, it can only be done at 2k. Er, no.

Lucky nowadays that e-verification is finally being rolled out, though the MGA casino's haven't embraced it (cost/access to systems) but as i've said many a time: never had to upload, attach, take a pic of anything for UK Based - no one should be emailing anything to anyone, especially not passport numbers/licences etc. It's nuts - if i sent some information from an unencrypted email to a general mailbox at work, I'd be sacked so why it's regarded as acceptable in casino land is baffling - particularly re GDPR. Anyway, bugbearer of mine

Not to mention the fact they will take your money all day long with no verification. Only if you are lucky enough to win and ask for payment they pull out that card.

It's all rather dodgy to me. I prefer walking into a Vegas casino still and walking out with hard cash but those days are long gone. Last time I was there it was like a corporate nightmare where everyone is simply a number. It lost all the personality of its hayday.

Said before, whilst the UKGC here has gone into hyperdrive re regulations, it's not been helped by online casino's murky dealings; the amount of times, and continuing to this day, has been their blatant use (or misuse) of t's and c's, practices (and blaming it on the regulator) over the years. People free rode casino's with self exclusions - yes they did but casino's were also complicit in that they, i have no doubt, saw it as a reason to 1. not pay and 2. hope that the player simply gave up chasing back deposits - both were to blame. So, yeah, now there's a cleaning of the house because online operators didn't want to do it themselves. What we have now is a perfect storm.

Eg re T's and C's - in contract law there can be no onerous penalties. Fancy way of saying 'just because someone did something so minor, doesn't mean you can not pay them the 200k they've earned' - crime must fit the punishment. It's why i'd like to see those cases online where someone hit max bet once out of 10000 spins, won nothing from it, but the casino voids the entire lot, actually challenged because i'm confident it wouldn't play out that way legally.

I was in Vegas many moons ago - it was great; the buzz you get when there, eating/drinking/gambling, the whole atmosphere is worth doing at least once. It's why i plan on going back to landbased more than what I've been doing, lower RTP's yes, but if you're getting butchered online you may as well do it somewhere where you can make a weekend of it.

Speaking about it, already did it several times in the last few weeks... Man, it was fun the first time, mainly because I took my wife with me  (she's still categorically refusing to join my sin thou ) , so she had the opportunity to try some of her best dresses (we were at Plovdiv best land casino called  Princess Casino ) and enjoy her hubby wasting hard earned family money of course!  Soon after it all boiled down to the routine which I seemed to remember even after a decade in a matter of hours....

Nah, too old for this, prefer sticking with my online gambling regardless all recent challenges.

Probably for a separate topic but i grew up, like most, having a beer, nipping round to Ladbrokes for the football coupon, back to the pub and for the next 2hrs plus watching it fail/win - still remember the days you could only bet on single games if it was on TV, which is weird. Then, in Manchester (cos we had no land based casino's in N Ireland due to religious zealots) I started going to Genting/Grosvenor - that whole experience has been overwritten by the ease of online gambling but it's still there.

Whilst there's massive pluses re online, it does come IMO with a sense of isolation

I don't particularly like Land Based Slots  -i always feel as if they're tighter than their online counterparts but the next few years are going to be interesting to see if there's a swing back - i don't think so; i think anyone who likes to bet 2 quid above will simply go outwith the UKGC, but still. That aside, there is the added perk that you keep a bit of the money in the local economy but no gambler is gonna care abt that obviously.

Maybe if folk mixed the two of them up a bit more you'd appreciate the other a little bit more, I dunno.

What i would say re LB is, even if not been for a while, i think it gives you back a better sense of the value of money - I'd think nothing of blowing (well, not nothing but know what i mean) a grand online but when your handing cash over etc, you're a lot more hesitant - maybe provides a wee reality check as well.

Kinda always loved being alone with my gambling tbh... And it doesn't have anything to do with shame or stuff like that since both my parents and entire friend circle always knew I'm gambling on a regular basis. Don't have a reasonable explanation actually but feeling best when there's no one else around/on-top/in-between myself and the online slot  game ...except a glass of insanely great Bulgarian red wine... or two of course! 🍻

Same goes for me too Guru-san. Just my mug of coffee, some tidbits to snack on and no one else around except me and my laptop. That's peace of mind whilst enjoying my BAD habit. 🤣

  • 3 weeks later...

On US slots I’ve found some odd performances but just chalk it up to bad days - slots have been fairly normal for me. I normally have a fun time but ran into bad luck this month. Usually I hit a big win and keep playing going back and forth a bit which lasts me all weekend. Unfortunately I hit loss after loss and changed the pace to gamble on an overseas casino.

i deposited a lot and won it back but then during some withdraw verification they determined I played from the US which is not permitted and my funds are were taken and account closed. Not much i could do since it was bitcoin so lesson learned. Too bad because the game selection from no limit games was fantastic - loved deadwood.

on the bright side to end the month I went back to lovely DraftKings and had some great wins.

Bitstarz?

Must admit, not that keen on the RTG games that US players have, would probably chuck it if that was all there was was for me to play

Deadwoods an excellent game - as close to a true High Variance game as you get. No Limit have near mastered HV.

Yea deadwood, punk rocker, and a few others were well designed and had som high potential.
Unfortunately that money is gone now so I went back to my US casino which, almost all of them have the exact same games. I stick to Netent and SG mostly.

Hit a good streak to recoup my loss so it doesn’t hurt so bad.
