Thijs77
Hi guys, After having made some succesfull deposits and withdrawls at betmaster.com, they now ask me to verify my account. Obviously very standard procedure. They ask for photo 's of my ID and the bankcard i used to deposit (wich i allways have handy), so no problem there. But....they also want me to sent in " Selfie of you holding your Passport/ID card front page and a bank card. Photo must be taken on a background of this chat. " Does anyone have a tip on how i can do this? Only have 2 hands....
imanorange
I actually had this issue being the only person around. I live in a condo, so I waited until I could hear somebody outside and simply opened my door and asked them to do me a favor. I told them it was for a crypto trading account online. Either that or you can set your phone or camera on a timer and take the photo yourself.
pinnit2015
I really don't get how this provides the casino with any level of assurance - if i want to try and pick a residence that aint mine and knew i'd get asked this I would just pick someone relatively close and, if asked, just nip round and do it? (unless i'm in Finland and saying i live in Spain - in that case I'll just do it when on holiday there) Can't speak for non UK places but we have such a wealth of online data to verify the person and the residence against (Companies house, DWP,HMRC, Land Registry, Voters Roll and a host of others - and some Credit Reference Agencies will amalgamate all this data and do it for you) that such a practice, certainly here, is not needed IMO. Never had the whole 'Stand ootside yer hoose and take a pic' here but have heard from pals of some casinos doing it - think maybe it depends if UK based and you have greater access to the other data. imanorange
Afi4wins
I was faced with a very similar situation some years ago (maybe 2 or 3 years back, and probably one of the earliest online gamblers to be hit by this nonsense), and I was asked to submit such a selfie, with their requesting email visible and legible in my laptop screen, in the background. I replied back "what? You think my old handphone is Hubble telescope?" and did not send in anything at all. Lucky for me, the withdrawing amount wasn't much, so I finished it off quickly and immediately got my account closed! You can try taking such a selfie and submit to them...hoping they won't come back and say "selfie not approved, we need a clearer photo"! You can do as you please next...live with them...or simply throw them out of the window, or into the trash bin! imanorange and cocopop3011

Hey there and welcome to AskGamblers Forum, Unfortunately, this new 'wave' of inventing additional hoops towards fast and easy players verification is getting viral among Curacao licensed operators recently... My advice - comply, otherwise you risk having your account locked.
