lima1
I just saw this and made me curious, also because I believe this may also slowly come to other regulated countries. I visited a website of a certain affiliate program and it says that no sms/Email marketing is allowed for Swedish players  How are the casinos promoting themselves to the players then? Through regular mail? Seriously asking
pinnit2015
No idea re Sweden but can't imagine if true that it would be much of a hindrance given you can't receive bonus offers past the welcome offer anyhow? UK wise, aside from a few, the marketing has more of less ground to a halt - aside from Aspire Globals increasingly tacky messages, the only ones i get are from the L and L Group in the main (which is cool, cos they're decent) Ads to be stopped on the Telly from 7th May as well here. Which i just realised is today - might be a blow for Playojo who seem to have bought x3 the airtime in the last week - obviously not Covid-19 related in any shape, way or form. Don't have really any stats to hand but i've never signed up to a casino based on any traditional marketing such as Tv, or even emails (mainly cos the emails come from their spammy affiliates) but more from online reviews etc. cocopop3011
lima1
I am aware of 1 bonus rule in Sweden however that would still allow to send some kind of email reminders to players (without bonus offers), however if emails/sms are not allowed then there is no way for a casino to remind the player that he has an account there, thats pretty stupid
pinnit2015
True - lots of casino's will send you emails just to say about new releases etc - keeps them in your mind and helps their traffic so, if that's banned, then we really are taking 'protecting' folk to a new absurd level.

ValDes
Is there any official source of that news actually? Couldn't find anything similar on the Swedish Gambling Authority website...
