Mattholomew2
Hi all, I'm new to all this. Just wondering why Evolution Gaming (where I like to gamble) is geo-restricted in Australia on a lot of gambling sites? I found Kahuna Casino isn't geo restricted in Australia, but by what i've seen in the forums, Kahuna create excuses for massive delays in paying out winnings, so I would avoid them if I can. Also, i've had experiences of delays myself. Additionally, I am aware that the geo-restrictions can be overruled by using a VPN in a country like germany for evolution gaming. I have seen streamers on twitch teach / do this... So my questions are, why is it geo-restricted, and if I considered using a VPN would this be a report-able offence / illegal? I have found certain websites like roobet pay out cryptocurrency IMMEDIATELY compared to other casinos taking lengths of time to process, not to forget that roobet offer $1 minimum bets compared to $2 minimum bets... If anyone has any insight into this if they could let me know that would be great. Thanks - Mattholomew2

Thanks - Mattholomew2 Australia is very much a nanny state and they like to keep a monopoly on the gaming by keeping citizens playing the 90% RTP pokies in landbased pubs and clubs and casinos in Australia. Many Australian politicians have interest in the pubs and clubs and pokies too or have friends that have ownerships in those areas. They will make deals with gaming companies and tell them if they want to ever visit Australia without being arrested/fined then they must geo-restrict Australians from playing their games online. Other gaming companies if they want to operate in Australia doing any sports betting type operations are also not allowed to offer casino gaming to Australians. using a VPN is not allowed by most casinos and they can use it not to pay out.
