    Wow, I read this blog and i don't agree with the don't gamble without a bonus. I always try to not use a bonus cause with any wagering requirements it is always way to difficult to reach any cashable winnings. That's my own experience. You seem to contradict yourself. oh well, I guess you're entitled to your opinion so I posted mine. :}

BTW - I agree with one comment on if you have loads of money, why bother with any Bonuses ? lol.

honestdude reacted to Luciana in Mr Green goes live in Canada
Found it Quote from their site:

"Then there was the matter of the name. When the founders were looking for a name for the casino playground they were creating, they wanted to build an entire experience around the brand. They wanted to build a position. They wanted a distinguishing name. They wanted an edge. They wanted something that stood out. They wanted Mr Green. Green can stand for many things in the casino world. In American English, the slang for money is “greens”. The bank in the French Roulette is green. Green is the color of the cloth in many table games. The name came up by mistake in a web search, but it stuck.
The founders developed a concept that involved Mr Green being a gentleman, but not a snob. He came from simple upbringing, like Mr James Bond in Casino Royale or Mr Danny Wilde in The Persuaders, but would as an adult find his way into the company of both women and nobility. He would preferably drink dry martinis without vermouth, but also a beer on occasions. He loves a good cigar, but avoids the Cubans for political reasons. He would love his clients and treat them right, with gentleman’s rules and tips on gaming and strategies, much like the character played by Humphrey Bogart in the Hollywood classic Casablanca. The Mr Green brand has many attributes: the man, his hat, his umbrella, his cufflinks and so forth, making it a vibrant brand that can be used efficiently in marketing. This also further strengthens customer loyalty. The founders had a global perspective from the start, with a focus on rapid expansion. A second market was opened within one month of the launch of the first market. It was considered important to become a major player quickly to be able to address possible regulation of the market, development needs, to secure favourable prices from suppliers and so forth."

honestdude got a reaction from cocopop3011 in On-Line VS Brick & Mortar Casinos ? - Your Gut Feel.
I have been playing many on-line casinos for just over a year.  I have played in brick & mortar casinos for over 20 years.

This forum/blog is simply a blog to compare brick & mortar casinos to on-line casinos. Actual winnings in the long term, (unless you were lucky to win a jackpot at some time), but your actual experience of playing on-line vs brick & mortar.

Have you found a difference ? Less or more wins ? Small or larger pay-outs ? Bottom line feel of on-line ? Do you feel more scams in either? Etc, etc...

The actual reason I started this blog, (unless one already existed), is to compare your actual gut feel and experience of playing on-line casinos vs playing in brick & mortar casinos.

I personally feel, after years of experience in playing in brick& mortar casinos and keeping track of my losses for both, that I have less and smaller wins overall in on-line casinos vs brick & mortar.

When I play in brick & mortar casinos, at least wins, (playing the same denominations in both type of casinos), are larger and more frequent. This is not to say that I am ahead in brick & mortar casinos but I can tell you that at the rate of losing in on-line casinos vs brick & mortar casinos, I would be way way behind with on-line casinos.

The issue I find with on-line casinos is they are popping up everywhere, some good, some bad, some honest and some "certified" but in the total picture, Can they be trusted ?

You would figure that since on-line casinos have way less expenses, you should be getting larger pay-outs, winnings more often but I don't find that to be the case. With licenses from foreign countries, where on-line casinos can get licenses to operate so easily and for less than $500 there are absolutely no "real" check and balances in those country's so called gaming commissions. No place to go if you encounter a problem.

The only place to ensure some help, investigate or check up on casinos are places like Ask Gamblers.

Again, so what are your personal opinions if you have had experiences in both type of casinos ? Do you feel your chances and wins are less and less often with On-line casinos vs brick & mortar ?

    Thank-you

I got paid fine without any problems.

This is really a joke though. Banning certain countries from playing games is just ridiculous.

Here in Canada we have provincial run online gaming with IGT (garbage) type games.

Winnings are not taxable. Never. Poker is legal. No problem.

They are getting what they deserve!

Bad service, late pay, long pending, dishonest bonus terms. Unethical terms that are not player friendly and more is a recipe for closure very quickly.

Constant sms messages and email promos
Amaya games freezing and losing my win

Best solution may be, all of casinos accept at least you open your account in euros or USD and most of them accept Skrill or/and Neteller, so open an account in Euros on Skrill and another on Neteller in USD, deposit in the same currency and your withdrawal don't be charged with FX fees, in addition you may become VIP on Neteller for free just by meeting VIP requirements, please check my post above. On Neteller you can buy a plastic prepaid Master Card for only $13 without annual fees, on Skrill such card will cost you €10 yearly but I consider it is a cheap fee.

To tell you the truth dude, shooting those ghosts as they fly by has NO TIME LIMIT!!! You have ten shots...that's all that counts. Out of those ten shots, 7 shots are guaranteed hits...3 may be missed or hits! So next time, if that blardy screen pops up right infront of your game, just click to close it.

Playtech games have time limits ONLY on the actual Marvel jackpot feature game, where you stand you pick the jackpot prize, and there can NEVER be any pop-up messages whilst you are picking on the jackpot itself!!!

How many of you are aware or have experienced this ? You're playing marvel slots and right in the middle of a spin, which can be a bonus spin you get this pop-up of some member who won whatever.... you must click on the x to shut it off. By now, you missed the bonus round you were playing or any round you're playing.

I agree, it's best to be safe than sorry. Casino Rewards has many casinos offering the same type of bonuses and I always chat and ask and keep a transcript simply to protect myself should I ever win big and the casino refuses to pay based on multiple accounts. I've read many complaints of non-payments where casinos used that "excuse" to forfeit payment.

Okay Nicole,, I understand your issue and NO, you're not the only one out there. But of course, people will say quit cause they feel you are "venting and or complaining" but I don't feel you are. I feel you are simply asking if others "feel" the same way or "experience" what you have.

Let's face facts. Gambling has very few "big" winners, unless you hit the jackpot, which is rare. You may see many advertised but those are few in comparison to how may loose. The basic fact remains true. "The longer you gamble, the more odds are against you".

Are software companies cheating ? Well, I'm not sure which regulatory bodies monitor any of these but casinos open for profits and they make incredible profits. Do the like to pay out large winnings ? Reputable ones who are comfortable with their profits of course would be happy. It's advertising. Those that wait too long to pay out, get bad reviews and this is the only avenue we have to evaluate casinos, thanks to sites like ASK Gamblers".

I personally have had the same results as you have on some months. Matter of fact, I can't say I have won in the end playing on-line casinos when you add up all deposits and withdrawals but I really don't expect to make money playing casinos.

As for your questions about "Am I the only one" ,, of course not. The problem is most gamblers who win, big or small, eventually put everything back.  I know I have won over $15k in one night and gone in the next month. It's a fact of gambling and addiction. Unfortunate but true. We tend to chase our losses or attempt to increase our winnings = lose again.

So, are there better software providers like microgaming, netent, or other large ones? Not sure. Are RTM's real ? Who knows ? Do other people feel like you do,, "Of course". What to do about it if you don't want to stop ? Scale back and read about the casinos in places like this and you'll notice that almost every casinos get complaints. Do I like Netent or microgaming, 'NO". Why ? I don't find I have won in all the times I played.

Maybe we should start a new forum post, if one doesn't already exist, on " Who's a winner after 3 months?". and who's a loser after 3 months". Problem is not everyone is honest cause gamblers tend to lie about their losses to simply encourage themselves or hide their addictions. I"m not saying all gamblers but most.

Hope this at least answers some of your concerns.

Alise, you're not alone. I'm pretty sure most of us here have blown big wins! My biggest win ever was £5,000, I blew £4,000 of it  in £500 increments in about an hour, I was absolutely devastated and from that day on vouched I would never ever make the same mistake again.

If gambling is no longer fun for you then you need to stop, stop chasing your losses now. You'll never get that money back Alise, the harder you try to win now the more you will lose.

If you want to continue gambling, first take a break. Get your finances back on track then if you want to come at a later time you can but must do so with control and budgets set in stone.

It's easy to look at our winner screenshots thread and think "Oh I can do that too" then when you play you don't even come come close to any of the big wins you've seen. Take it from me our members here don't win all the time, even though it seems like it.

You mentioned Johnnygotthebone, if he was here now he'd tell you about how much he has lost in the past, let me tell you it is a lot! He's doing great at the moment, but he has moments where he doesn't win too. It happens to all of us.

If you need to get out of debt I highly advise you stop gambling because chances are gambling will you put you even more into debt at the moment.

That was a very open-hearted message from you, coco. I think you accurately captured the "vicious circle" that we all end up getting caught in to some degree. And I second your wish that it would be to easy to break for everyone. This thread is a very important and real side of the difficulties of being a gambler.

You've raised some really good points here actually and it's a great reply.

I'd like to comment on your

The sad fact of the matter is you're probably right and it ends up as a vicious circle. Going back a few years ago when my gambling was at its peak this was almost certainly true for me. Even the biggest of wins would end up back in the hands of several casinos. The more money I had in my bank the higher the deposits I could make and the more greedier I got to want to win.

However luckily for me I was able to break this vicious cycle and it certainly doesn't apply to me anymore. I'm now very careful how much I deposit and when I win I make sure it doesn't all go back into the casino. I've had to make this decision due to my own personal lifestyle changes, having more children now means I can't afford to gamble like I used to. And lucky for me addiction didn't take over!

I only wish that this 'vicious circle' would break for everyone!
