  1. How interesting! :)

Is there a better way to learn, than to write about something you know nothing about and you also must try it, to learn?!

You probably know every tiny detail of so many slot games!

I tried writing one for Reel Chaos and it really was CHAOS. Didn't know there's so many things to write about :o Not easy at all!!

I had a good mentor, Luciana. I was all over the place at first. It's a complex topic to get to grips with but practice really does make perfect. The more you play the games and read about them, the more you understand them. Even now, I see "professional sites" writing reviews for slots and still getting the information wrong.

  2. First off, I shall say I am a very committed individual in real life. I first met my wife over 7 years ago, I've only played for one football team since I left university 10 years ago, I swam for City of Cardiff for 8 years, and I played for the current skittles team I play for since 2006. However, when it comes to slots and car insurance I am the least committed individual around! I would say if I don't win within 10 spins then I am off! I'm terrible, honestly. It's like speed dating... but with slots.

  3. Haha, with my current job plus managing an 11 a side football team called CSKA Sophia Gardens (if you live in Bulgaria, you might have read about us due to our similarity with CSKA Sofia) and with a wife and son I struggle to find the time for myself as it is! Thanks for the heads up though. You never know, I may well have a go at it if I manage to free up some time. I do love writing.

  4. Wow, you attended ICE this year? How was it and what was your occasion to visit it, if I may ask? :)

I write for an online slots review site called Gamingslots.com so we go there every year to find out the latest info and meet the developers. I should say that we met the Microgaming lads last year and they were top drawer. Really nice guys. WMS Gaming... a tougher nut to crack shall we say! Haha. Fantastic stall they had mind.

It's a fascinating event. It's a slog getting around everything but it's well worth a visit if you can ever get to it. The IGT stall is undoubtedly the most fun. Last year they had people dressed up as Na'vi beings from Avatar and you could get your photo taken with them.

  5. Yeah, same here Luciana. I didn't really get into slots until about 2-3 years ago when I was asked to write reviews about them. I didn't know anything about them at the time so had to play them, read about them, and just get to grips with the entire industry from scratch. I'm still learning now. It's an industry that is so big but also in a constant state of flux so there is always new content, new ideas, and new slots being released.

  6. I don't know what it is about them I just can't get into them!

Yeah, I've heard that WMS slots are some of the most popular online. Don't get me wrong, they're not awful but I've never understood why they are so popular. The same goes for Bally slots. I guess they just have a strong following from their land-based slots.

  7. I think I'm a bit old-fashioned but I'm staying clear of Bitcoin casinos until they become more regulated. I don't think the issue helped when I met the dodgiest Bitcoin operator ever at ICE 2014 where he went on a 30 minute rant basically saying online casinos should go and ***** themselves. He also confessed to nearly getting in a fight with the creator of Satoshi Dice over copyrights or something. I'm going to steer clear for now.

  8. Incredible story. I don't think there would have been so much fuss if the casino hadn't offered her a fee to keep quiet. Suggests they either have a massive guilty conscience or they are hiding something. Technical glitches happen all the time and it is unfortunate this one occurred for such a large amount... the offer of money to keep silent is the damning issue though.

  9. I loved the Christopher Nolan Batman franchise so much that the prospect of another Batman franchise movie so soon after it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. If it was Christian Bale and Nolan was behind it then I'd be more enthusiastic. It's got nothing to do with Affleck. I know he almost killed the Daredevil brand single handedly but I think he'll be alright as Batman. It's just these superhero mash ups rarely work. The Avengers is the exception to the rule.

  10. Oh, that's your famous question :) I thought you managed to find and send some Microgaming stats to our office? Or I mixed something up.

Anyway, that was the first question I thought of, since it's bothering you, dear Guru!!

Everything is written down, but they delayed a visit for the next week, so more time for questions :)

The teasing is beyond levels I can tolerate! Looking forward to it!

  11. For me, gambling is an expenditure and not an investment. I adopt the approach that the house will always win, eventually, so I just take what I can when I can. I think Luciana mentioned about her friend playing poker professionally. I've had a few mates who have earned decent money from it but only enough to make a better lifestyle for themselves and never enough to go professional. If you're talking about slots, blackjack or other table games then if you want to make a living I would not advise going down those routes.

  12. Yeah, I've never really delved into tournaments before. I am quite a competitive person though so they've always tickled my fancy but I never really hear too many good comments about them so have stayed clear so far. I have a big enough battle beating slots on my own let alone competing with fellow players as well!
