  1. I thought it amusing how when you get to the feature in this game, the reels become flooded with low pay symbols. Especially on reel 1. A bit too obvious for me. In the base game you land stacked high pays almost every spin and then in Free Spins, the odd singles.
  2. The cost to buy a feature is usually a strong indicator of what it's average payout it. So if it costs a 1000x, on average it will pay somewhere around there. If you consider how often you hit 1000x generally playing slots, that's how long it will take just to trigger this feature. If I had to guess, I'd say it hits in the region of 1 in 10,000 to 15,000. True. But I think there is a big difference between Mental and DOA2. In DOA2 there is a lot of RTP in the base game, and the hit frequency to the free spins is definitely less than 1 in 200. So DOA2 generally takes your balance more slowly and gives you the free spins quite regularly compared to a lot of recent games. This gives players more rounds for their money and more rounds means less time for the huge win to happen. I think NLC games are much more focused on the free spin features and want to make them as spectacular as possible, which is why buying the bonus in an NLC game tends to cost more than others. The consequence of doing it this way is that the base game has low RTP and tends to be weak, grinding and generally hopeless. They want players to buy features and they are rather good at giving reasons to do so.
  3. Again, 66,666x or 66.6x? I think a 200 dollar bet is quite a risk for most of us. In this case the high risk had a decent reward. To call this ' a mere 0.20' bet though, is quite a reach. To be clear, I'm not trying to diminish NLC's game, but rather the marketing and hype around it. I just don't see the point in talking about and comparing slot wins in terms of xBet and then totally disregard what the actual bet is. I think doing so just facilitates the misperception that monster wins on slots are more probable than they really are. We can likely agree that 66x wins happen several hundred thousand times a day, but most are not betting 200 dollars when it happens.
  4. Luck doesn't have much to do with it. If you buy the Mental Free Spins, which I assume many who hit the max win do, then the win is 66x bet. Mathematically speaking, handing out a 66x is far easier to produce probability-wise than a true 66,666x hit. If you assume all spins lead to Mental Free Spins, then the probability of the 'max win' is likely in the range of 1 in 400-500. So within the context of the actual wager, it isn't particularly unlikely to hit the cap. Congrats on your win!
  5. Sure, starting at 20x sounds good, but from what I understand about the game, you'll need to fork out 500x via a bonus buy called Hot Mode to start at that multiplier. This will surely not be available to UK players. Apparently Hot Mode can be randomly triggered, but given the high multiplier with average win of 500x, I think it is safe to say that it will be very rare. Otherwise, expect to start at 1x like most megaways games.
  6. I totally agree that these types of games will be more common in the future. Game providers have learned that these types of games generate more revenue because players are likely at some point to abandon what they have built up in the collection features. So whatever RTP is contained in the 'meter' is thrown away and essentially easy money for the casino and provider.
  7. I gave up on this pixel game after the third message/dialogue pop up. If I have to read to understand what's happening in the game, I don't bother.
  8. I gave it 1000 spins yesterday. Generally, I think its a decent game and surely a hit compared to the last Starburst sequel, Berryburst. I played without using the xxxtreme spins and from that my biggest criticism is that the base game reels are terrible. Lots of dead spins and the hits are always 5x or under. So all the RTP is in the Starburst wilds. Ultimately, the draining and sleepy feel of the base spins pushes you use the more expensive xxxtreme spins. I'm personally not a fan of games that behave like this. But there's no other reasonable way to the play the game in my opinion. I've watched some streamers play only the 2 wild xxxtreme spins. A bit amusing that from only using the 'xxxtreme' spins the game clearly becomes as low volatile as the original. It's definitely a win for NetEnt. Will it replace the original? Doubt it. I think it will be forgotten about in a few weeks.
  9. Actually they've reduced it to 9 lines without both ways pays. To be honest, I think the max win in this game will happen. There's a bonus buy that costs 100x iirc, and I'm sure it will get heavy use. A streamer will probably hit it and then all the marketing will say they won 200,000x, when really it is 2000x.
  10. To be fair, Kindred always had a 30% ownership of Relax up to the full acquisition, so I would think they were always influencing the direction of Relax to some degree. Or at least working together closely. I don't think it is all that unusual for casinos to outright own a provider or own a significant stake in a provider. In my experience this is usually done so that the casino can leverage the good reputation of the provider by having all the games exclusively well before their competition. So, as it concerns the games aspect of Relax's business, content differentiation is probably a big part of it. Consider how many casinos are out there with the exact same games and game providers and all get the new games on the same day. Aside from bonuses, which are getting rarer depending on where you live, there's not much basis on which to compete. Now consider Relax makes Money Train 3 or some other big sequel and Kindred keeps it for their casinos for a month before any other casino gets it. I think that would be a huge win for Kindred.
  11. I generally don’t play red tiger games. Not because I think the games are terrible, but because almost every casino that has their games has the daily JP thing running on top. I have yet to see an instance where it is disclosed how much of the game RTP is directed to these jackpots. Could be 2%, could be 4%. So it is more a matter of principle as I think I should know how much of my bet is going toward a progressive that I am unlikely to win.
  12. This is just my opinion, but if you are playing any higher volatile game, regardless of NetEnt, BTG or whatever, I don't think you can expect much to happen in just 80 base spins. Of course, you could get lucky, but with increased volatility it takes much more spins to get anywhere near the theoretical RTP. These days if I open up any new game with a balance for 100 spins, I expect around half the money to be gone after those 100 if I don't hit a bonus.
  13. I also loved the original IR Flash version. I don't think I've pumped as much money into any game as much as that one. Not sure about this Mega Moolah addition. IR, at least where I play it, has an RTP of 96.86, and standard jp contribution on Mega Moolah games is 5.30%. So unless you are hitting the jackpots, the RTP of just the game part is going to be 91.56, assuming they don't change anything else. I might try it, but I doubt I'll play the long sessions I did on the original. That number is just too low for me.
  14. I don't play a lot of live or table games. The thing is that I;m not really understanding why this game has a presenter. Seems like a full on RNG game. I tried it but I just can't get used to the pacing of it. Just feels like a long time to place the bet, get the result and move on to next bet. Probably I'm playing too much slots. I couldn't get into it. I'm sure its fun for some people though.
  15. Totally agree. The sad thing is that this practice is becoming more common. I think a good game should be a total package of base game and features/bonusses. To be honest, I think players contribute to this marketing to some degree as well. I mean, if your base bet is 1 and you buy a feature for 800x and then win 30,000, you did not win 30,000x! The win is 37.5x. But of course everyone wants to express the win as a multiplier of the base bet. You could easily get that type of win by doing 100 spins at 80 bet on Starburst. Starburst might actually give a better return. Anyway, to the actual topic. I think No Limit might decline some. The xways and xnudge thing is starting to get old, at least to me. I think bonus buys in general have a limited life span due to more stringent regulations and this will hurt No Limit since their base games are terrible by design. Elk Studios has been pushing out some interesting games as well as Fantasma Games. Relax makes some great games. I expect them to continue releasing good game this year. I think NetEnt will see a lot of success this year, at least in a business sense. If 2020 showed anything, its that American players are taking over the big share of the igaming money as more states open up to online gambling. NetEnt got into that space very early compared other European providers and think that will give them a significant leg up while other scramble to get a gaming license.
  16. Thanks for the warm welcome! At the time I was betting 1 EUR. I rarely go much above or below that. I'm also not really into higher volatility, but these days it's hard to find any new games that are on the lower side. I think the only recent game I played that was clearly on the low side, was NetEnt's Gordon Ramsay game, which I have to say I also enjoyed.
  17. I played the game a lot since it’s release. My only criticism is that it can take a very long time to hit the free spins. But each time I got there it paid decently. My best result was 641x while my lowest was around 50x. Base game is really all about the wild reels. I’ve only seen 3 wild reels on a single spin once and it paid just over 300x on some mid level symbols. So good potential in base alone I think. Aside from the appearance, there’s not much in common with the first game. The first Dazzle was in my opinion a rather casual game while this version is much higher volatility. The hit frequency is lower than say Twin spin megaways but I think they offset this by having much longer cascades. So expect the odd run of dead spins. I’m glad there are cascades though. I just find megaways to be more interesting with it than without. I enjoyed the game and quite likely to return to it on a regular basis.
