RTP is definitely something I look at, but I wouldn’t say it’s the only thing that decides whether I play a game.
For me, RTP is more about understanding the long-term maths behind a slot. A higher RTP means the game theoretically returns more to players over a very large number of spins, but it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll win during a specific session.
I also pay attention to other factors, like volatility. A slot with a high RTP but high volatility can still have long periods without meaningful wins, while a lower volatility game might feel more consistent.
The game itself matters too. If I don’t enjoy the gameplay, theme, or features, a slightly higher RTP won’t make much difference to me.
So I would say RTP is one of the first things I check, but I use it together with volatility, provider reputation and the overall playing experience before deciding if a slot is worth trying.
