Oh man! I can assure you no one here would even think of 'laugh and joke' when it comes to problem gambling, especially me! Maybe you should take another look at the topics listed under my signature and read the simple guide I wrote for problem gamblers so many years ago... :(

As for the rest, I believe that you have already been super adequately advised by Mr P what you could do from here and how to do it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm sorry I don't buy the "I used the wrong card in error" line .... You have to type in the name on the card don't you ??? I mean even if it is saved in the computer, what about the 3 digit code... you just know it off by heart and enter it on autopilot? I'm surprised it is even possible to make a deposit using a card in a name that doesn't match the account these days to be honest. If your going to do it for whatever reason, use the card to deposit into an e-wallet first then pay the casino from the e-wallet in your own name ... still against the T&C but I fancy the chances of getting Skrill to pay you before possibly closing your account much more than I do a casino.

I really hope you get your deposits returned, at the very minimum. I mean, if your mrs were to say she DIDN'T authorise the transactions you could certainly get those payments returned... there could be some risk of trouble with the law of course. Problem is your not wanting to say that in the hope that you manage to get your winnings... but by the time they tell you they aren't paying you it's too late ... Maybe the mrs will consider calling her card company and marking the transactions as fraudulent, but again, be prepared for potential issues with the law. You gotta decide how m uch this money is worth to you I guess.

The name on the card isn't as important as you might think, particularly not when you have the same surname and just a different first initial... Tbh I've never tested it but it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't check the name at all.

Its similar to when someone sends you their bank details and insist on putting the Bank and their Name in there. The bank isn't needed (that's what the sort code is for) and banks don't check that the beneficiary agrees to the bank the funds are being sent to... You could put Problem Gambler 123 in when sending your nan a tenner and they wouldn't even know because they don't check.

Oh man I'm sorry I wasn't actually referring to you with that comment. Genuinely apologise for any offence I realise now that I was quoting you and so it would have seemed like I was having a dig.

You're right I have been well advised and I appreciate your input too, it gives me a well balanced view of things.

I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks for your time.
