Why do people play progressive slots when the jackpot is low?

It just doesn't make sense to me. Why not play another slot instead, wait for the jackpot to grow? What's the logic behind it?

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Some people like to play only jackpot games...that jackpot prize is always a big attraction to them, with a hope that they'll hit the jackpot at any time, for a huge win! Slots that do not have any jackpot prize is never as attractive to them...nothing big to win! Hehehe.

Just imagine, playing with minimum bets can win a million, or hundreds of thousands, depending on the game.

How much can anyone win playing the common slots? A few hundreds, a few thousands at best, so there's simply no comparison! Doesn't matter if the jackpot prize isn't that big as yet, because even the minimum starting prize is huge enough! Mega Moolah, for example, starts at 1,000,000. So what is a few hundreds in comparison, right?  :p

Most jackpot slots have more than 1 jackpot prize, most of them have 3 jackpot prizes and some of them have even 4 jackpot prizes, the four m's. Mini, midi, major and mega, that's 4 chances of winning a jackpot prize. The smallest jackpot prize has different names such as mini, rapid or quick hit, this jackpot prize can be won multiple times per day and this probably the reason why people play jackpot slots even when the mega prize is low. Red Tiger's games at BML Group Limited casinos have daily jackpot up to €10.000 and sometimes even higher.

Personally i'm not a fan of jackpot games, primarily for the reason that the bulk on the RTP is in the Jackpot. You're not going to get many decent base hits in them.

Most jackpot games have a slight lower payout because...what else, the jackpot prize. Thou I think jackpot games from Yggdrasil are an exception.

If no one played when the jackpot was small there'd never be a big jackpot to play for :p
