Piper89
Hey people I have just applied for the play safe card because my bank account is looking hideous with transactions. Does anybody use one of these things and do they simplify withdraws? When I was applying I had to verify. I know there is info out there but one is suffering a severe does of man flu and I have the motivation of a granny's skipper. Cheers

cocopop3011
I'm in the uk play safe card is a pre paid master card type thingy they charge £8 per year for using the card it can be topped up at any out let which has paypoint. The idea for me is to stop using my debit card and go with this my only concerned is getting asked for source of funds being added to the card from a casino as it would be harder to prove... Aha! I'm in the UK myself I've never heard of it but my first question as you mentioned would be how would you get a withdrawal from the casino as it couldn't go back to that card. I guess you'd have to do a bank transfer. Why is it you don't want to use your debit card?
Piper89
Hi cop cop My daughter is a branch manager for Lyods banking group and last week she mentioned that they have been closing accounts linked to gambling . I didn't want to push to much but it's to do with bad account management blah blah hence why I want another despoit method not that I'm at that stage but better safe than sorry. I have checked all my regular casinos accept play safe but as u say they can't despoit wins onto the card so a bit pointless.

Hmmm..to be honest I can't see why would since online gambling isn't illegal here and it's certainly not in my terms and conditions to not use my account for gambling. I know a lot of people are having their bank accounts closed for gambling on facebook in illegal raffle groups, Lloyds and Halifax being the main two actually. Do you have a Skrill account? In answer to your initial question though I really don't think this new card will simplfy withdrawals only hinder them! Do you have lots of deposits a day? I've never had an issue with my high street banks in the 5/6 years I've been playing.
pinnit2015
I find it odd to close accounts due to gambling transactions - the only thing i can think of is that they use it exclusively for it, but even then as theirs no credit function (unless overdraft), I don't see why they'd care. Unless they think there's dirty cash. But defo keep it off your main account - if you plan on going for a mortgage etc, and they see then transactions, you'll find yourself struggling. Not saying it's right or wrong but many banks view them as a red flag and will, bit like seeing payday loans on the account, refuse you any credit related products because of it.
