mdwoodfall
I realize that this forum for the most part colors in the lines as far as traditional on-line casino's go, it truly is the 'best of the best' at separating the wheat from the chaff. Thank you for that. For those of you who have never heard of CHUMBA Casino and now Global Poker, they are quasi-casino's that have cleverly marketed themselves as a "sweepstakes", like Publishers Clearing House. For all intent and purposes, they are gambling, games of chance, no doubt. The strategy to market as a "sweepstakes" lets them have free rein in the USA, where politicians (and big corporations) have played cat and mouse with the law and currently do not officially condone on-line gambling. However, as all can see, most European casinos accept Americans on the down low. And I’m sure it won’t be long before the law changes as soon as appropriate tax law and regulations are completed. Chumba (VGW Holdings) indoctrinated themselves first on Facebook along with the one gazillion FREE slots, cards, you name it, et al. where you buy coins, or tokens and play mostly for fun, or status. However, where they hit the Yahtzee is they cleverly offer for FREE "sweeps" that you get when you buy the tokens, or Gold Coins, they proffer is the true currency you purchase. The "sweeps" just come along with the gold coins. But as they say, "a rose by any other name is still a rose", the worthless tag along "sweeps", can -as it just so happens- be traded for CASH (if one was so inclined to do it), and better yet, through PayPal. After an initial verification of human existence, that takes 4-5 days, any time after that when you get the urge to purge your account of those pesky "sweeps", you can CASH OUT the sweeps through PayPal in 24 hours. (let me tell you from experience, it takes the stress out of on-line casino "withdrawal" nightmares that everyone dreads!)Like any traditional "sweepstakes", (think Publishers clearing House), they are required to offer the "Sweeps" free with no purchase necessary, and they do. Send self-addressed envelope to.... certain #10 envelopes required, yada, yada...and they will in theory credit your account some FREE sweeps if you take the time, effort, energy, stamps. etc. However, there is one caveat. I have sent the requisite envelopes along with other members, I know, and they acknowledged receiving them and sent salutations of congratulations! but every time the ("free sweeps") get credited, a few zeroes are missing. Instead of $10 its $1. Consistently, to be an accident. perhaps computer glitch! When brought to their attention they will check on it and send us a screen shot.... yada, yada. Now, like all on-line casino's the devil is in the "terms of use". As we know Coupons and bonuses are the snag most newbies encounter when they gladly use those FREE chips that traditional on-line casino's all offer. 500% FREE....We know that they are anything but free and often it’s better to just forgo the onerous "terms", "play-through', "Max-out caps" that are the bread and butter of on-line casino FREEEEEE bonuses.Chumba, is draconian about multi-accounts. Yes, most casinos have rules against that also, but with Chumba, it's one and done. Submit more than one Email address and forget Cashing out those pesky "sweeps", or even playing...ever...again!Their nerd squad is very good. They have good software that tracks. and backtracks. The problem is that by their own rules you can have two accounts...one for Facebook and one for web. the problem is the two should never be interchanged, which without reading the "terms" in full, does seem to happen.... a lot. The sights are almost identical with just a few cash-out differences in amounts (Facebook minimum is $400, web is $100) and a game called "Dusk Moon Faire" advanced version is missing in Facebook. So, don’t take your Facebook account to the web and register it, or Burp, Burp, your next win and attempt to CASH-OUT will be your last! The Casino, is just slots, but unique games not found on any other Casino. And what I have found is they are Skilled Slots. It’s the best description I have. In other words, the more you play, the better you get at repeating sequences of clicks and stops and patterns to make the reels do what you want...to a degree. There is a skillset to these "slots", or at least the main ones, like Gem Huntress, or Dusk Moon Faire. You will find yourself in the zone and able to anticipate hitting the bonus feature if you follow the pattern. You can play with the Gold Coins or the "Sweeps", but as you might guess the game changes with the switch in currency. Their newest spin-off is the Global Poker. Live player holdem and Omaha with cash games and tournaments that are getting very popular. Some of the weekly payout in "SWEEPS" is now $5000 and everything in between. There is plenty of FREEROLLS for playing with those Gold Coins that earn you entry into Weekly Tournaments that pay in "SWEEPS"Right now, since there is so many members and most entry fees run a couple bucks, it's the wild-west of no-limit poker. If you hope to play where others follow protocol of common sense or math, fuhgeddaboudit! Until you get past first break (no more rebuys), the tables are full of someone going ALL-IN with a 3 and 8 off suite pre-flop, against your pocket rockets are AK, standard good first cards, and catching a three of a kind on the river! yeah.... true story...wild west! But like any skill, the game changes after first break where the solid players that managed to hang on settle down to the finish. So, all in all, CHUMBA and Global Poker, are worth checking out. One more arrow in your quiver of getting ahead in the games of chance. And of course, read the Terms and follow the rules. Good luck and peace out!
cocopop3011
That was one of the hardest things to read!!!! Anyway welcome to the forum, but is it only me that found what you said confusing? It doesn't seem like the kind of casino I'd be interested in playing at anyway and I haven't heard of the games you've mentioned either. I think the same, so I visited the website and I instantly dislike it.
Afi4wins
That's the problem when someone tries to explain too many things all at once...the simplicity for comprehension goes down the drain! I got some of the points, some others are like Greek to me...but at the end of it all...the poster recommends trying out the casino. Would I try it out? Naaah. Sweepstakes and poker are just not my things anyway.
soveu47
Do not play there, their games are too tight, they have had software malfunctions where games intermingle with other different games, I asked what type of gaming software they were using because I wanted to know if it was real time gaming and they totally ignored my questions. There games are too tight and yes I keep stressing that their game pay backs are so small when bet a $1 per spin and wind up with 3 cent or 20 cents even if your playing the max or 1 cent in some cases. They really need to be checked out by some gaming authority because something is off with their gaming and you can only contact them via email or FB chat no telephone calls and they been in business for 5 years. The only thing I give them credit for is having a quick payout through Paypal which in some cases only takes 1 to 2 hours but don't be tempted though you won't win and they don't offer many bonuses for long time players or players who spend a lot of money oh wait but they do have the nerves to offer you what they claim is a good promo deal a 1000 gets you an extra 150 to go with it not worth it. I seen big wins on their player boards but amazing the same people each week and sometimes same days Ludy, Paolo, Stacey, Michael seem to be hitting the big jackpots meanwhile the rest of us are just winning chumba's chump change. thisplacesucks
I recommend avoiding this casino/website at all costs. It is literally the worst casino I have ever played. The payouts are absolutely horrible no matter what amount you are betting. The only way you could possibly make a profit is by getting a bonus and those are extremely hard to get and most of the time they don't even pay. Out of all the casinos I've been to, I've never had as many dead spins(spins resulting in 0 winnings) as I've had with chumba. Honestly... I've counted the dead spins and I'd come up to having around 20-25 dead spins in a row on a 243 line game. Its absurd!! The dead spins even carry on to the bonus! I can't believe this casino is still in business. Also, their customer support its terrible too. Takes them 2-3 days to respond to an email if they even respond at all! Seriously do yourself a favor and stay away from this casino. I'd honestly show screenshots of bonus I've won ($.65, $1.20, $0.0) betting $1 but there is no way to post pictures from my computer. rafflemomma

I agree wholeheartedly. On the ONE occasion that I actually got up to over $100 in Sweeps Cash and tried to cash out, they denied my request. They advised me that because my husband had an account as well and we both had the same billing address and ip address, they could not pay me out the win; however, they had no problem taking the hundreds of dollars I spent before ever attempting to cash out there. I have moved away from the online casinos and slots to a safer and more dependable mode of gambling online. The odds of winning are so much better and the payout is too.
