pokerhame Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 What are the rules for wild cards in poker? Quote
gamerbud Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 There are actually two common rules with regard to wild cards. It's "fully wild" cards and the "bug". I'll just wait for someone to explain these rules further. Quote
irbylamer Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Card games, particularly poker games, may contain one or more cards designated as wild. These may be jokers, or they may be normal ranked and suited cards pressed into wild card duty like:- Joker - decks of cards usually come with two Jokers, adding one, or even both to the deck increases the chances of landing better poker hands. Non-Joker Wild Cards - in place of using Jokers as Wild cards, other cards are designated as being Wild. Designating "Deuces Wild" is common, and adds four different wild cards to the deck. Quote
brendairis Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Wild card poker games take normal games and spice them up by adding one or more wild cards. This helps increase big pots and makes for explosive poker sessions. We recommend wild card games for players who are looking for excitement and thrill. Old timers are better off sticking with Stud or Draw games so they can keep up Quote
irbylamer Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Wild Card poker games are really no different than any other form of dealer's choice poekr excerpt for a few variables. The wild cards allows you to complete your hands and in most cases win the pot. This is why they be the killer in anyone's hand. There are a few variables players should understand when playing wild card poker games. Edited June 17, 2011 by Lucky13 link removed Quote
jontysen Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 It is not at all unusual for Wild Cards to be introduced into five card poker games. And, with Draw Poker being classically a five card game, I thought this a good place to bring up the customary "wild" card designations. Quote
