I keep winning

Hi, im new here.

About 4 months ago I started playing online slots, I kept winning. I generally switch casinos after a win and take advantage of the bonus on offer. Im by no means a high roller, I generally deposit around £50 - £60 pound a time, amounts I can comfortably afford to lose. But I rarely lose. Of course at times I do lose, but mainly win. I.e. Over the last 7 days I have used 5 different casinos and am waiting for payouts, frome between £170 and £520. I generally play 40p a spin or in that region, and am patient. I wait until I have a decent pot and take the stakes a bit higher. So as to win more and get through the playthrough quicker.

My reason for this post is, am I just lucky? Or are casinos giving big payouts to new players in the hope of getting them hooked? Is it because Im being patient? Do most players take up the bonus offers win loads, then realise they cant cashout, think its a con, and gamble recklessly and lose all their cash?

I have kep a track of my wins over the last 4 months, ive won £6500, and lost 950 approx. The loss includes stakes that I have deposited, so not necesarily a loss.

Indeed, what you experienced is something that happens actually very rare and it's definitely has a lot to do with Lady Luck. As well as with your rather sensible, not greedy and quite disciplined method of playing and cashing out of course.

Sounds like you are on a lucky streak, but don't be fooled! It can turn around and go the other way just as quick, and if you convince yourself that you "usually win" then your setting yourself up for an even bigger fall. Trust me on this, the house edge guarantees that over the long term the casinos will take all of your money, so never be tempted to keep on depositing thinking "its bound to turn around soon" or something like that.

Thanks for the replies.       Its quite funny really,  after writing the last post, I deposited £65 which doubled with a bonus, and lost the lot!! Haha.  That will teach me.    

 

I have a question if anyone can help me.......   Something I have wondered about.    Supposing you are playing a slot,  with say 40p a spin,  you see the slot begins to start paying out,  if I were to switch my stake from 40p to say £2,  does the slot treat this as a new session,  I mean does it switch to a different pay cycle???    Not sure if that is clear,  but I have played slots where they seem to pay steadily,  but when I raise the stake, they stop paying.

 

My strategy is, always play sober!   Easy to get carried away after a few beers!   I normally play 40p - 60p spins,   if I haven't sensed the slot is paying after losing about £10 I move on.  If I am playing 50p stake and I win £30-£40,  I move on,  £1 stake £60-£80 I move on.    

 

I have also noticed that if I start with a big pot,  well big for me,  say £150 plus,  I tend to win more than if I start with say £50.

The reality is that no one, I repeat no one, knows how and when RNG controlled casino game is changing/switching its payment cycles. No one, but the game creators of course...

It definitely has a lot to do with luck, but patience is also of great importance. I have been gambling for about 5 years and I just learned this recently. A very valuable and expensive lesson xD

 

I think, no matter how high the stakes, the RNG should be the same. I think the reason so many gamblers experience losing more with higher stakes is because you have gambled way more with lower stakes as opposed to high stakes. For most gamblers, if you win big, you raise the stakes and if you lose you lower the stakes again. If you lose with lower stakes, you deposit again and continue with the low stakes. You play far more with lower stakes than with high stakes. So with lower stakes it gives a better view of how the payouts actually are because you have played far more spins with this. At least that is my theory. I am not sure if it makes sense
