I've left this stew for a while as no agency seemed to give a toss that we as Gamblers got totally scammed and ripped off. Not even the UKGC give a toss! Well As for Alex Leese now working as a consultant for William Hill say's everything you need to know about the online gaming industry!! It's all improperly regulated and all parties are milking it from online gamers.

 

William Hill would be aware of Alex Leese's previous involvment with Smartlive as this was well publicised and given the money involved due dilligence would have picked this up. A more realistic reason for his services would be to do exactly what he did for Smartlive. Render his services to cook the books.

I've decided that I can't let this drop fraud was definatley committed MENZES LLP suspected it along with others and I have documented proof too. Just need someone to really pull their accounts apart. Has anyone got there hands on these?

Hi @supernuk did anything come of this? I tried calling and left a message, do you have any direct contact for the person at Menzies dealing with this by anychance? Smartlive gave me the run around for too long leading upto this, I was owed over £2000 from them, I have chatlogs and screenshots.

hello conjorj1993 no recent updates as far as I no anyway, spoke to the liquidators a couple  months ago and got the impression that it was going to be a long drawn out thing as you can see from the above posts that one of the owners is now working for William hill despite the gambling commission stating that anybody who had anything to do with smart live would not be in a aloud in a position of trust again, there was another chap on here that started legal proceedings against smart live at the start of the year and I personal messaged him a couple of weeks ago to see how things were going and I am awaiting a reply but all in all gone very quiet lately.

Hello Everyone

 

I am a bit late to the party however wanted to see if anyone has had anything positive from claiming there monies owed from Smart Live ?

 

I know I am resurrecting this post 18 months or so later however I too was owed money from a cashback promotion they were doing where I was not paid

the cashback money, and am totally unsure who to contact etc - are they still trading / not trading etc and whom to voice the complaint to ?

 

Can anyone recommend the best course of action to approach against these fraudsters.
