Currently, the legal framework in Curacao is being completely renovated, and operators are working on improving their dispute resolution processes, in line with new requirements.

Does anyone have any insight on an estimated timeframe of when the ADR requirement in Curacao becomes mandatory? I was told in July that it should happen in the coming weeks. Once this does become mandatory, If i have a complaint accepted and opened by an ADR (CADRE) Will the casino i made the complaint against (Bitstarz) be required to respond and resolve the complaint?

Any information would be helpful

Thanks

Dear c.sidener1,

Based on the latest regulatory updates from the Curacao Gaming Authority, the mandatory implementation of the independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) framework is explicitly engineered to enforce compliance across all operators.

Under this upcoming framework, once a formal dispute is accepted by an approved ADR entity, any licensed operator under Curacao master licenses is legally obligated to cooperate and comply with the final regulatory rulings. Failure to respond or settle verified consumer claims within the designated legal timeframes directly jeopardizes their operating license and triggers heavy compliance penalties.

This enforcement acts precisely to shatter the stalling loops and delay tactics that platforms historically used to withhold consumer funds. You have taken the correct step by maintaining your claim. Keep monitoring the official roll-out updates, as this transition will fundamentally reshape player protection and regulatory accountability.

Best regards,
Verified Consumer
