Problems with closing my account at Slotty Vegas Casino

Recommended Posts

I'm furious! I decided to close my account permanently with Slotty Vegas so requested they do this by messaging customer service live. A guy called "Sean" dealt with it and told me it had been closed.

The following day i received an email saying i had self excluded myself from them and all connected casinos for 6 months!

I contacted them again to ask what was happening and they tried to tell me it was UKGC regulations and they could do nothing about it! Despite my argument that i had just asked for an account closure.

I messaged a "Sean" again and he tried to fob me off saying because i had asked them to close my account via a support message new regulations stated it meant i wanted to self exclude myself?? I mean seriously?

I am aware that self exclusion goes on record and i am disgusted about it.

Any advice on what to do next as i do not want a self exclusion against my name as it slights my character so far as i'm concerned!

Hello there and welcome to AskGamblers.

Account never was or should be equal to self-exclusion request. Unless you showed some addiction signs during your stay with the aforementioned casino or specifically asked them for that, they should not consider your account as self-excluded, but as closed. Which means account closure at casino A within the group should not affect your account status at Casino B.

Make sure to read their terms and conditions very carefully and if it is not specifically described that account closure = self-exclusion, feel free to use AskGamblers Casino Complaints Service

Seems this is standard practice as I have recently found out. I have since created a new post confirming that a casino told me to self excluded which then caused implications on a sister site.

The Internet has made gambling easier and due to promotions and incentives being emailed, temping members to deposit it's obviously that people are going to open duplicate / accounts with sister companies.

Personally, I am beginning to think it's a scam, as Ask Gamblers have confirmed loads of people end losing a lot of money depositing, then having their winnings revoked due to having an excluded account somewhere. It's totally impossible to keep tabs on what accounts your opening and who's connected. It really is a mine field.

Sadly gambling is compulsive and addictive and these companies prey on this.

My advice to everyone. Stop now.

It's just not worth it.
