Conor@Trada
Hey AG Community, I was wondering, as I have seen many casinos with their own blogs. Usually they are full of game reviews and sometimes special offers... Nothing ever too appealing enough for me to deposit imo. What do you guys think?Do you read the blogs of your favorite casinos?Do you comment on them? If you do, what do you like to see in them, off-topic light hearted stuff, or full on promotions and game reviews? Or do you just avoid them because you don't see the point? Obviously excluding AG's blog... it is my bible after all! Really interested on what you all think of them!

Okay so here's my honest opinion, and this is just my view of course.. I'm not particularly interested in reading individual casino blogs. When I visit my selected casinos what I'm interested in is seeing which new games they have and which bonuses (if I want a bonus) are available for me. I very rarely navigate to any other sections of their sites! I very rarely even read about promotions because more often or not they don't appeal to me. If a casino has direct reviews on their website, I very rarely read these. I like to know that the reviews I read are from genuine players which is why I'll always only rely on the reviews we have here. And I'm not just saying that because I work here it's because I know the reviews submitted here are from genuine players. Same goes for game reviews. Completely valid points in all fairness and I would see why maybe many players would agree with you on some, if not all of your points. Sometimes a blog is just lengthy, and more often than not they're boring! What you said about the reviews though, I think that yes, the players would understand the game in look and feel, personally I love reading the stats and numbers on the games, the background boring stuff. But hey, that's just me. Awena

But hey, that's just me. When it comes to casino reviews these are completely different and very important to me. A casino review can ultimately make up my mind as to whether or not I even visit the casino. However game reviews don't! Even if a game has bad reviews if I want to play it I'll still try it since we all like different games. I very rarely take much notice of stats, but as you do there are plenty of other members that do to
abilene
Honestly I don't reply much on reading the casinos reviews or blogs for that matter. I make up my mind by selecting a casino and then visiting & experiencing it in the very first place. Reviews and blogs confuse me big time. Trust me you can enjoy casino & their games by actually going there.

I agree there's nothing like personal experience, but if you were to read a casinos reviews and they were all bad would you still deposit and play there anyway? That was my way too until I saw how gullible these casinos can be! nowadays, I mostly rely on third party opinions rather than the casino's own review. But that doesn't mean that I don't read their blogs from time to time. cocopop3011 and Conor@Trada
Eva123
I think it depends on the Blog you are on...there is a lot of bullshit out there but in some blogs you can get valueable information that might help you! Conor@Trada

Couldn't agree more Eva! I just like to look at all the possible things the slot can do, and some casinos are really good at showing that to there players. One in particular also posts random giveaways in there blog that only their readers will see lol
elizarus
As for me, sometimes I check casino blogs.. if casino is trusted, reputable and relatively old it usually has good blocks where people passionate for gambling can learn some new things and in general become more hacked in the industry issues.. Newbies can make use from table games tutorials.. poker players can get info about worldwide events, learn about latest promotions etc.. maybe some blog posts are boring, but in general there is always something to read there
abilene
I don't really follow their blogs religiously, but sometimes I do since I have heard that the content holds some really amazing tricks and tips to how to play the game. By the way its a healthy exercise for those who want themselves to keep updated with what is happening in the gambling world.

I also prefer going to the old casino because the trust factor is more there. Every time I go I learn something new by seeing the experienced players playing their game. And yes I have read some of the blogs from time to time in the past. But I wouldn't say it was read religiously.

More often than not, I don't see the point of a blog from an online casino as it tends to just regurgitate content from the rest of the site and generally comes across as a purely commercial and impersonal endeavor i.e. the exact opposite of what a proper blog is meant to be.
