honestdude
Okay Nicole,, I understand your issue and NO, you're not the only one out there. But of course, people will say quit cause they feel you are "venting and or complaining" but I don't feel you are. I feel you are simply asking if others "feel" the same way or "experience" what you have. Let's face facts. Gambling has very few "big" winners, unless you hit the jackpot, which is rare. You may see many advertised but those are few in comparison to how may loose. The basic fact remains true. "The longer you gamble, the more odds are against you". Are software companies cheating ? Well, I'm not sure which regulatory bodies monitor any of these but casinos open for profits and they make incredible profits. Do the like to pay out large winnings ? Reputable ones who are comfortable with their profits of course would be happy. It's advertising. Those that wait too long to pay out, get bad reviews and this is the only avenue we have to evaluate casinos, thanks to sites like ASK Gamblers". I personally have had the same results as you have on some months. Matter of fact, I can't say I have won in the end playing on-line casinos when you add up all deposits and withdrawals but I really don't expect to make money playing casinos. As for your questions about "Am I the only one" ,, of course not. The problem is most gamblers who win, big or small, eventually put everything back. I know I have won over $15k in one night and gone in the next month. It's a fact of gambling and addiction. Unfortunate but true. We tend to chase our losses or attempt to increase our winnings = lose again. So, are there better software providers like microgaming, netent, or other large ones? Not sure. Are RTM's real ? Who knows ? Do other people feel like you do,, "Of course". What to do about it if you don't want to stop ? Scale back and read about the casinos in places like this and you'll notice that almost every casinos get complaints. Do I like Netent or microgaming, 'NO". Why ? I don't find I have won in all the times I played. Maybe we should start a new forum post, if one doesn't already exist, on " Who's a winner after 3 months?". and who's a loser after 3 months". Problem is not everyone is honest cause gamblers tend to lie about their losses to simply encourage themselves or hide their addictions. I"m not saying all gamblers but most. Hope this at least answers some of your concerns. Princessamidala, ValDes, Afi4wins and 2 others

I like your idea of starting a forum post about 3 month winnings/ losings and people can choose to post if they want, whether it be a really good three month pool or a losing three month streak. Even some people who hardcore play online don't keep careful track of the end balance (probably because they'd rather not know). This thread could encourage people to stop and check where they're at every few months. Since you thought of it I say you make it, honestdude! partyhummel and ValDes

Going back a few years ago when my gambling was at its peak this was almost certainly true for me. Even the biggest of wins would end up back in the hands of several casinos. The more money I had in my bank the higher the deposits I could make and the more greedier I got to want to win. However luckily for me I was able to break this vicious cycle and it certainly doesn't apply to me anymore. I'm now very careful how much I deposit and when I win I make sure it doesn't all go back into the casino. I've had to make this decision due to my own personal lifestyle changes, having more children now means I can't afford to gamble like I used to. And lucky for me addiction didn't take over! I only wish that this 'vicious circle' would break for everyone! partyhummel and honestdude

I think you accurately captured the "vicious circle" that we all end up getting caught in to some degree. And I second your wish that it would be to easy to break for everyone. This thread is a very important and real side of the difficulties of being a gambler. partyhummel, honestdude and cocopop3011
quinckr
I say that the best thing to do, in every overwhelming situation, is to take a step back and reevaluate. It's easy for me to say this because, when it comes to gambling, I am very casual. I do not invest much in it and I also don't win much. But that's ok for me, this activity is a simple hobby. One time when I was at a regular casino, I saw a guy who was placing best on all roulette tables and he was running from one table to another. He did win big at one table, but he still wasn't satisfied. I heard him whisper to himself: "Now I have x sum of money, another x sum of money to go". It was clear that he needed a lot of money. That was sad to watch... How do you say to a person like that one to take it easy?
fb_992712514134076
Same here, you're not alone, i keep losing all the time. I'm a new gambler and 6 months ago i made the biggest mistake ever, the one mistake only new gamblers could do - i won 4k and lost it all within few hours, cause that was my very first time i played slots on that day and i wasn't aware of how hard is to win big on slots,i thought "well,if i won this much on my first attempt then i might win more", haha how foolish of me that was..and within these 6 months i was chasing my loss. Now i live in huge debts, in debts that are more than the sum i won first time and all i wish is to get back in time and make this never happened, cause no matter what i'm doing, where i'm playing and what i'm playing i can't win.I feel like the world's biggest loser and that destiny is taking a concrete piss out of me while others swim in money and fun. Some people like for example Johnnygotthebone keep winning and winning, and i'm looking at those winner screens and keep wondering "HOW?HOW do you do that? What's your secret?".All i want is to get my normal life back without debts and to get rid of this depression and stress.I would be so grateful for one big win just to clear out my money problems and that's it. I know, everyone is going to say to quit gambling etc.like on previous replies and gambling is not problem solver. My deepest apologies, guys, for my moaning, but i needed to get this off my chest, even my family doesn't know about this.Looks like i'm turning this post into some kind of therapy session, haha. partyhummel

Alise, you're not alone. I'm pretty sure most of us here have blown big wins! My biggest win ever was £5,000, I blew £4,000 of it in £500 increments in about an hour, I was absolutely devastated and from that day on vouched I would never ever make the same mistake again. If gambling is no longer fun for you then you need to stop, stop chasing your losses now. You'll never get that money back Alise, the harder you try to win now the more you will lose. If you want to continue gambling, first take a break. Get your finances back on track then if you want to come at a later time you can but must do so with control and budgets set in stone. It's easy to look at our winner screenshots thread and think "Oh I can do that too" then when you play you don't even come come close to any of the big wins you've seen. Take it from me our members here don't win all the time, even though it seems like it. You mentioned Johnnygotthebone, if he was here now he'd tell you about how much he has lost in the past, let me tell you it is a lot! He's doing great at the moment, but he has moments where he doesn't win too. It happens to all of us. If you need to get out of debt I highly advise you stop gambling because chances are gambling will you put you even more into debt at the moment. partyhummel
wow. i wasn´t attending during the last weeks since i was sick. thank you for that honest sharing the experience. I also think, gambling can become extremely dangerous faster than light, since it plays music on our instincts and we have to struggle, not to lose control. during stoneage we went out to hunt some mammoth... today we log into onlinecasinos to bet on the mammoths... well - and once again - i am very tired of the "games are rigged"-arguments... it is in my eyes very close to that chemtrail-psychosis.
