Shipit
Hello fellow gamblers I had a blast playing The dark knight slot since it came. This slot has given me alot of fun over the years, and some big wins too. Probably down total, but still a lot of fun. But in January 2015 it all changed. BOOOOOM. From being a slot that gave a lot of action, it went completely dead. Every feature that used to pay big now and then, is totally gone. Every time i get a feature it just misses, Every time.. Im down at least 10k Euros the last 8 months playing this slot with an average bet of maybe 2 Euros. No big wins or no good features. I guess that every 5-7 feature used to pay anywhere from 50-200+ X. But lately i had like 200 features and bonuses that gives me nothing. exept a couple 50-100X. Havent got my balance over 300 in like 100 deposits. So my question is: Has any of you guys been playing this slot, and get the same feeling that i do, or is variance just killing me? (pardon my bad english) Frustrated
partyhummel
i am sorry to say - its the variance. and its very ublikely to hit a real streak of luck, since chances of "dead spins" must be set enourmous to get the odds fixed in favour of the casino. the series of big wins is the exception. losing on frustrating dead spins and features is reality and standard. its our brain wanting to believe a slot always pays or doesnt... its not. its just the randomnizer with basic odds. graphic or symbols - no influence on win or lose. its similar to coin flipping. however its not just win or lose but win (how much) or lose. ;-)the results are created and provided by the game creators randomnizers. you press sprin - microgaming rng says - 0... or 5x bet - or 1000x bet and freespins and cup of gold. sends it to the dark night lot - we see a graphical spextacle - and the result. ;-) normally a zero. ;-))) I really like the way some slots are designed to carry on a spectacle like armageddon and you think you are winning until you have a look at the dying balance. (neon stax is really awful concerning that.)

(pardon my bad english) Frustrated Hello shipit and welcome to to the forum First of all I never usually agree to members when they say a game has changed. However when it comes to The Dark Kinght, this used to be one of my favourite MG Slots. I even won the progressive jackpot on it once (only £9 odd but was literally a notch away on the wheel for millions) Anyway, it was a great slot but over time it just started paying less and less. However I put this down to the fact that I had already won a ton from the game so my expectations were high. When the wins I was having weren't living up to expectations I stopped playing it. That's just my view on this.

(neon stax is really awful concerning that.) Hi Party and thank you for answering. You give me the answer that i hope and expect to get. I just want to be sure that no one is experience the same as me. So hard to play a machine and having fun for over three years, winning lots of big wins now and then (often lose it all back) and suddently it all stops. No fun , no paying bonuses or features. Going from a fun session every week, to a dead machine for almost 10 months.( I know i wrote 8 earlier but its really 10).I know variance can hit hard, but this is almost so rediculous as it can be. Imagine going from a machine that every 5ft feature or bonus pays a decent win, to maybe 2 out of 1000 bonuses or feature pays decent. Hope you see why im wondering. And im an engineer with statistcs as one of my sucjects . But i still agree with you, and i hope we are right and there is nothing fishy going on with this slot. partyhummel
well. the fishy thing - going on at any casino ever existed and any company you find on this planet: - they are all setup for one reason: gain money for the operators. ;-) so no matter which game you play in which casino - the chance of losing your stake is always above 50%. The only thing that helps me to sometimes stay ahead - sometimes reduce my losses is one thing: - watch the balance while playing - if it reduces too fast - take a break. let the cards be shuffeld one more time (i read it here in the forum and really love that metaphor) - return a bit or more later - and try again. never stop watching your balance. prevent yourself from going compulsive. stop any thoughts about trying to predict probability (my main problem - that thoughts make me chase losses - open the cashier window in anopther tab so i neednt stop spinning, because of the believe the very next spin could be the hit - deposit 10thousands because of raising the bet - nothing is more stupid - that is desperate gameplay which will always lead to the casino operators celebrating and you taking severe consequences). limit your monthly gambling budget. restrict yourself. ;-) be careful. But this strange behavior from this slot makes me pretty paranoid.I mean its like this slot have changed completely. If more people than you have noticed anything wrong with this slot lately, i probably quit playing myself. Like you i also had a big rush on this slot before it all went downhill, so i just have to accept that these things happens. I asked about RTP % (ReturnToPlayer) btw at two of my regular casinos, and they both layed around 76%. Didnt make me feel any better

bigdk88
Jeez 88% is lower than both the Mega Moolah slots for the same jackpot. Question are you playing for a chance at the jackpot wheel or because you enjoy the slot? If it's the Jackpot you are after you get much more playtime out original Mega Moolah and it's other versions than you do out The Dark Knight. I've tried it several times and the best win I could conjour up was a measly 100x bet after it took about €150 at 30c spins... cocopop3011

Jackpot games - do we play them because we like the game or are we chasing the jackpot. And I'll refer (again) back to one of Valdes' quotes "The more you chase a jackpot the further away it gets" And whilst I totally agree with this what you said got me thinking. When I play such games I'll play them because I like them, and try not to think of the jackpot. However, deep down in my heart, if I really searched I'm playing them because I want that jackpot! I just don't want to admit it! ValDes

I just don't want to admit it! It's a wise quote he has come up with! All my jps just came up randomly when I have had them. From memory my highest JP was on Santastic I won 350$ on 50c bet. Other than that the only are slot I've ever had a jp on is Mega Moolah and MM Isis. Only minis and minors. The best slots to play for a jackpot are the ones not in the mainstream, games such as:Adventures in Wonderland,Electra and some playngo jp slots. The ones we are all playing is slots such as:TDK, MM and its varieties,Cleopatra MJps, Mega Fortune/Dreams and Hall of Gods.

This machine can give some big payouts, but RTP is low because of the jackpot feature. I believe Mega Moolah has the same RTP btw. But anyhow my RTP of 76 % means that im being slaughtered at the moment Hoping for better days at the slot. ValDes
Although The Dark Kinight is definitely not among my favorite Microgaming slots, must admit I used to play that game a lot when it was released back in 2012. My experience was rather controversial though - been anywhere between terrifying sessions of 700-800 spins without feature and sessions with features coming one after another...Generally, a typical jackpot game controlled by Microgaming RNG which basically means you could expect everything from that slot, including but not limited to sessions RTP of under 50% and sessions RTP of 100000% and above if a jackpot is hit. In my humble opinion, the game is working just fine, fair and square, and if you are having so many dead sessions lately, then the problem should be discussed with our beloved Lady Luck. winningfly
