Hey folks :)

As promised, tonight I'll try to make an analysis of the General bonus and casino terms and conditions for Parklane - a newly added casino to AskGamblers database. Hope it's gonna be useful for all those who intend to join Parklane casino or have already done it.

Please, keep in mind that the goal of making such analyses is to outline those rules which needs your attention and could have a serious impact over your future stay at the casino if you are not totally in aware with their meaning.

I. General Casino Terms&Conditions

1.2. We reserve the right to suspend, add, end, amend and/or supplement these T&Cs from time to time as deemed appropriate. We are under no obligation to verify if all Clients use the Internet Site and/or the Software according to the updated rules of these T&Cs. The version posted on the Internet Site(s) is the effective version, and that which you should use as reference. It is your responsibility to inform yourself regarding the T&Cs, as well as being familiarized with the modifications that affect or will affect you.

Thumbs Down - Accepting casino terms and conditions means to sign a contract with that casino. If you signed a contract with the casino for let’s say a bonus with 10x WR and then casino change that WR to 100x afterwards, then it means that the change will affect you directly and significantly reduce your chances for a successful playthrough and that’s not fair at all. Players are bound to the rules which they accepted upon registering at the casino and casino is obliged to inform them in case of a change that could influence them in any way and/or affect their payments, bonus requirements, etc.

4.2. When registering your Account, you will be asked to provide us with your personal information, including your name, date of birth, address, telephone number and email address; and a confirmation that you are over 18 years of age.

Thumbs Up - Asking players for confirmation of their age before allowing them to deposit is in fact highly effective and  quite simple measure at the same time against underage gambling.

6.1. The Internet Site may only be used for personal enjoyment, recreation and entertainment purposes. Any other use of the Internet Site is strictly prohibited.

Thumbs Down - Having such rule is simply hilarious. Especially when it comes to proving the methodology in which a player is being considered as “recreational” or not. :p

7.3. You may not use the services offered by the Company in any way directly or indirectly associated with money laundering or the funding of terrorism. By opening an Account with us, you agree to abide by all the rules and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering that are in place in Curacao and throughout the EU. Where we know or suspect that a transaction may be related to money laundering or the funding of terrorism, we have the right to disclose details of such transaction to relevant bodies.

Thumbs Up - This is the way it should always be. Online casino industry should never be used as a mean of money laundering, not to mention terrorism funding.

12.4. You may only use your own personal credit/debit card or other payment method to fund your Account. The name appearing on the credit cards, or registered on the payment accounts used for deposits or payouts must correspond to the name registered on your Account.

Thumbs Up - I really love to see when casino explains such an important detail in such a simple and clear way.

12.5. You may choose to process your deposit in an alternative currency, as offered by the Company at the time. The Euro amount that will be credited to your account will be presented to you in the Cashier when requesting your deposit. The Euro amount will be based on the exchange rate offered by the Company at that time, and may contain a conversion fee. Should the exchange rate change between the time of opening the Cashier and submitting the deposit request, the actual Euro amount credited to your account will be calculated according to the exchange rate on the system at the time of submitting the deposit request.

Thumbs Down - It is not clear what exactly this exchange rate will be, neither the conversion fee. Such important details should be written in way more transparent way to avoid further confusion and financial losses.

12.6. We reserve the right to request proof of payments to the Account at any moment.

Thumbs Up - Great! Now make a single step further as request that proof before the first deposit. :)

13.2. Any expense related to withdrawal requests shall be charged to the receiver. For more information please see our Withdrawal Policy

Thumbs Down - Hmm, could someone explain to me why it should be the player to pay for a cashout? Definitely thumbs down! :(

13.3. Withdrawal requests will be limited to a minimum of €100 per withdrawal request. Any request lower than this amount will be declined, and the funds will be returned to the player's balance. A player may then place a new withdrawal request in line with this limit.

Thumbs Down - Very high minimum amount allowed for a withdrawal. Majority of online players are in fact choosing to cashout amounts under 100 EUR/GBP/USD.

13.4. Withdrawal requests will be limited to a maximum of €5,000 per thirty (30) day period. Any requests exceeding these amount will be declined, and the funds will be returned to your Account balance. You may then place a new withdrawal request in-line with this limit.

Thumbs Down - Very low maximum amount for a monthly withdrawal limit. I could understand such limit for 24 hours, or even for a week, but for a whole month?... On top of all, the remaining money will be returned to player’s balance which is of course totally unfair and even considered as an attempt to urge player to gamble and to lose eventually.

13.5. Should you place deposit limits on your account, any withdrawal request will be limited to five (5) times the deposit limit, and not exceed €5,000 per thirty (30) day period. Any requests exceeding this amount will be declined, and the funds will be returned to your Account balance. You may then place a new withdrawal request in-line with this limit.

Thumbs Down - So, it appears that those who placed deposit limits will be punished with even lower withdrawal limits? That’s unfair and unjustified.

15.2. We reserve the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or confiscate all winnings and bonuses for irregular play.

"Irregular play" includes, inter alia:
Placing total bets equal to or greater than 30% of the value of the deposit currently in play.
Using Martingale, double-up and similar systems and strategies.

Thumbs Down - Tricky and unfair rule which caused so many players lose their withdrawals on a later stage. When I asked couple of years ago another casino using the same term why they didn’t change that rule and simply put a max allowed bet as an absolute value, they never replied back. Obviously, some casinos prefer using such kind of terms referring to max bet allowed while playing with your own money and no bonus is attached, simply because that would help them find a way to void players winnings on a later stage. :(

16.2. We will endeavor to implement your request within a reasonable time period and to ensure compliance with your self-exclusion. However you accept that we have no responsibility or liability whatsoever if you continue gambling before your request has been implemented or you seek to use the Website and we fail to recognize or determine that.

Thumbs Up - It is essential for any player to understand that Responsible Gaming means not only rights, but some obligations as well.

16.3. You acknowledge that exclusion and limits are set per account, and should you have accounts on more than one site owned by us, you must set the limits on each account.

Thumbs Down - This is not considered as a good practice when it comes to applying Responsible Gaming policy. A serious company should be responsible and to take all the necessary measures to prevent problem gamblers from opening/using other accounts across their network. It’s not a rocket science after all.

17.3. If a Game is cancelled after the starting time of that Game but before the outcome is decided, (e.g. due to a technical failure or due to any other foreseen/unforeseen circumstances), whether or not within our control, the Player’s bet will be refunded to the Account and the Account will be returned to its former status.

Thumbs Up - Seems as the only possible fair resolution in case a software glitch caused some game crash.

18.                    Results of Games

18.1. Once the Games have finished, their result cannot be changed or cancelled. We retain the right to accept, refuse or partially accept Game results.
18.2. Winnings will be credited to the Account following confirmation of the final result.
18.3. The printout of a Game that has been played is not considered to be a receipt of the winnings. A Game shall be considered as having been won if it is listed on our Server.
18.4. In case of conflict between the result posted on the Internet Site and the result exposed in our Server, the result posted in our Server shall take precedence. The Client understands and agrees that we and our records shall be the final authority in determining the terms of his participation in the Games, the activity resulting from there and the circumstances in which they occurred. Hence, you understand and accept that the settlement of any conflict between the Client and us will be determined based on the records kept by the Company. Therefore any decision taken by the Company in this regard shall be final and binding.

Thumbs Down - Hmm, I believe this is not quite true as there is another place where all players game transactions should be kept and that is the server/s of the gaming provider. In case of a dispute, it is the gaming provider’s records which are being put into an investigation by the relevant licensing authority, simply because these records are considered as the most reliable source de facto.

II. General Bonus Terms and Conditions

Canceling a Bonus by players can be made by contacting support 24/7. The Bonus can be canceled as long as the player did not make a single bet.

Thumbs Up - Simple and clear instructions what you are supposed to do if you want your bonus removed. I like it when casinos do it this way and avoid using lengthy and confusing procedures for such a simple thing as a bonus removal

The Bonus will not be awarded to a player who has a withdrawal pending on their account.

Thumbs Down - Why? Once a withdrawal has been requested it goes into casino’s hands and player has nothing to do about it. Then why being punished with receiving no bonuses only because casino is slow on withdrawals?

I don't know many casinos where progressions like martingale, Labouchere, etc. are not allowed, that have no sense and most of players of roulette and cards use them as a try for counteracting casino edge.

Thanks, ValDes. I will never play at that casino as long as they have most of the T&C which you gave a thumbs down on.

Not allowed to bet more than 30% of your deposit?!

I get it if you are playing with a bonus.. But it's your own money!

I will never ever play there!!!

Excellent analysis, Valdes! Although it definitely would be nice to have such information beforehand, I can imagine it's a lot of work and would also like to raise the player's own responsibility to make sure to read the terms. You almost have to be some kind of lawyer to go comb through the fine prints.

Nevertheless of course it's nice if reviews can have a link attached to such in-depth analysis of the terms. Besides some of the ridiculous terms mentioned I also think the wording of the terms is very poor. Almost sound like it has been copied and pasted from another casino, or that the same template has been used for multiple casinos.

"The Internet Site", "The Company" <<--- surely it can't be tons of work to replace those words by the actual site and the company name behind it.

Wow, I knew you gonna like it, but honestly, didn't expect such a huge positive feedback! Thanks guys!

Please keep in mind that this was my first expert review of a casino T&Cs and my goal was to outline all rules which deserve your attention. Now I know it was exactly what you have been looking for and I have some serious intentions to make such expert reviews for at least 2-3 newly added casinos to our database weekly.

Next to come - Kaboo, MadSlots and Sugar Casino. ;)

Wait a minute - So you're never allowed to bet more than 30% your deposit or just when playing with a bonus?

Yes, exactly... I find such rule as totally unfair and unjustified. A casino which dare to put limitations on my own money and the way I intend to spend them /without violating any other casino rules of course/, is not worthy taking my deposits then.

Wow! In that case I totally agree!

Probably you need to finish your review of terms with some kind of rating or summary, like - everything seems good, but [thisterm] and [thisterm] is very bad, be careful?

Well, the fact that I didn't do that was not a coincidence... Our philosophy is a bit different than saying this one is good and that one is not. We believe that players should reach to this conclusion on their own and we just give them as many facts and details regarding a casino as possible. Take any casino reviewed and presented at AskGamblers - you'll find dozens of important details listed under the review, its complaints history with us as well as what other players think about this particular brand. ;)

As for the terms and conditions analysis, please check at the very first. My goal is totally different. ;)

Please, keep in mind that the goal of making such analyses is to outline those rules which needs your attention and could have a serious impact over your future stay at the casino if you are not totally in aware with their meaning.
