    You will have many replies to this topic I'm sure bristimjet. Everyone has their own way of gambling, there's no right way and no wrong way! But we have some very experienced players here who will be more than happy to help you along your way.

     

    Tips on getting started?? I'm sure there are many...my tips/advice to you is simple. Your 18, which is great now you can gamble, but please be careful. Be wise with your money and only ever play what you can afford to loose.

     

    There are some fantastic casinos out there...you haven't mentioned what games your interested in but generally I find slots are the most popular here and my favourite. There is no slot you recommend a new player because everyone will recommend different ones...it's whatever you like..start with simple minimum bets..or even start by playing in fun/demo mode till you find one you like. We have a massive selection of slots you can play for free, here at ASK GAMBLERS, so you don't even need to enter a casino yet if you don't want to. Trial the slots here...then go in search of a casino.

     

    You may choose to take a welcome bonus which could double or even triple any deposit you make, just make sure you know what the wagering requirements are and how/if you can achieve them. Bear in mind you don't have to take a welcome bonus...you can just deposit with your own money and are then free to withdraw any winnings as and when you want to - on receipt of valid identification documents (required at most casinos)

     

    In regards to comp points, these are points that are earned by players whilst spinning those reels. The more you play with your money the more points you accumulate, these can then be converted to money once you reach a certain threshold, which is different at every casino.

Read one or two player reviews to make a general opinion on that particular casino. After this, look for a no deposit bonus also: there are plenty of no deposit bonuses here at AskGamblers.      Now a bit about slots, the most played games in a casino. When I was a beginner I was under the impression that all slots are the same. They are not. There are good slots where you can win something and bad slots where you will loose pretty fast. Some slots have reviews here at AskGamblers and you can have a first impression on the slot from reading them. This way you will save a lot of time, when searching for a good slot.

     As I said a good advice is to  try to stay as close as possible to AskGamblers. This is the best site giving info about casinos. They will teach you a lot.
