Remembering Roberta Flack - R.I.P

When the songs 'The first time ever I saw your face' and 'Killing me softly with his words' came out many years ago, I simply fell in love with them, and Roberta Flack became one of my top favourite singers in those days.

News of her death came as a shock to me - she passed away on 24th February 2025 from cardiac arrest enroute to a hospital in Manhattan. She was 88. May God bless her soul and may she Rest In Peace forever.

It saddens me very much that I had to watch her videos all over again, walking down memory lane, with her 2 songs and lyrics still strong in my mind till today!.

I just had to post this video of Roberta Flack singing 'Killing me softly', plus a 2nd video with the song's lyrics, for fans of Roberta, like I was/am. 

 

 

Whenever I sing 'Killing me softly' to myself, my tears would flow!
