A Recent Discovery: DeBets.io

Recommended Posts

I’ve been searching for a decentralized casino (it took me a while to figure out what exactly I needed to look for) in line with the growing ecosystem of dApps (decentralized applications), and I recently came across DeBets.io. I found it listed on DappRadar, and while it’s still a very young platform, it’s incredibly intriguing for someone like me who primarily plays with crypto.

What stood out the most about DeBets is its focus on data transparency and the fact that you play directly against game providers (you can even see how much they’ve deposited into the contract, and there’s an automated scoring system for them). Although the number of providers available right now is limited, I’m confident this will expand as the platform matures.

One of the key differences between these platforms and regular crypto casinos is that they should prominently feature links to their smart contracts on their homepage. These contracts should also be verified, allowing any user to inspect them and verify whether the platform's claims are accurate.

The smart contract essentially replaces the role of traditional licensing (in fact, it’s even better). By inspecting the contract, you can gain specific assurances about the platform’s operations—something that used to be handled by a certification authority. These contracts cover the platform’s activities, and since they cannot be altered, they guarantee the immutability of the agreement. It’s essentially a contract between the player and the house, but without a third party that could potentially change the terms.

Another feature I discovered and found impressive is the platform's commitment to publishing real-time data about slots and game providers. This means you get access to valuable information that was previously inaccessible, even with certifications. For example, you can see payout percentages, hit rates, and even the provider’s payout liquidity.

This level of transparency is a game-changer for the online gambling world. If more casinos adopted a model like this, it could completely redefine how we think about trust in online gambling.

I played on this platform primarily because it supports BNB. The transaction costs are low, and swapping BNB is straightforward (I already had some). On the homepage, there’s a link to documentation explaining how the platform works. It took me about 15 minutes to get everything set up, but after that, everything ran smoothly. I played a bit on PGSoft and had a good experience—smooth spins, even though I wasn’t particularly lucky. I managed to break even by the end of the day. I have to say, the withdrawal process was instantaneous. Admittedly, it wasn’t a significant amount, but it was instant, and they didn’t ask for anything. It was a very pleasant experience.

There is a noticeable lack of additional providers and table games like blackjack, but the support team, which responded to me immediately, mentioned that they’re working on it and will soon add more game providers, including live casinos.

Has anyone else tried DeBets or another decentralized casino?
In my opinion, over time, they represent the natural and intriguing evolution of crypto casinos. What do you think?
