TippyEars Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Could someone please tell me how RTP works? If it is let's say 96% and I win a lot, then I don't touch the game for 2 months..... will the game remember my win 2 months ago and start taking it back to get to 96%? Or could the game get back to 96% by other players playing it while I'm not? I haven't understood if the game gives back 96% to the same player over time, or if it gives back 96% to "any player" over time. Hope someone can explain! Thanks, Tippy Ears Quote

Thanks, Tippy Ears some players will be above 100% while others will be under 96% (players have different luck on games and different styles, some change their stake size, some stay during a slots cold mode, some leave after a good win, some give it back during the session) but if you include all players activity on the game then it should be very close to the 96%. If you play a game long enough then you will be close to that 96%. Quote
Afi4wins Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 @TippyEars No one can be absolutely sure on how algorithms or RTPs actually work! The main point is that any designated RTP, or TRTP to be exact, refers to that game alone. Different game, different RTP. This is not the same as a player's RTP, which can fluctuate up and down continously like mad, because a player's RTP depends on each individual luck and the mood of the game being played. In a way, a player's RTP depends on what the actual game's TRTP is or was at the point in time of playing that game. Imagine the game's RTP as a continous wave, going up and down all the time. If a player happens to ride the wave on its down wave, then the game won't be playing or paying good. Likewise, if it's going upwards, good winnings can be expected. Quote
TippyEars Posted October 30, 2024 Author Posted October 30, 2024 Thanks guys! So it is about the wave more than the game remembering the big win I had last time then.... that would be nice! See, I won a lot on Monopoly megaways and I was thinking either not to touch it for a month so the game forgets about that big win I had, and thinking other players have been on it during that month, kind of "resetting it", or not to touch it ever again... The thing is though, the game does remember all the stations and houses I have collected, which made me feel like I'll have no chance now, ever, because it will also remember this huge win last time I was on it and it will know it's me again back on it even if I wait a year..... but if there are real waves like you say independent on what I won a month ago, I'll give it a go again! Thanks guys, Tippy Ears Quote

Thanks guys, Tippy Ears So the "current RTP" (some calls it TRTP) graph fluctuation is per player, on each game, in each online casino? The technology is available for that, but I think this method won't be good for players since the end result will always be less than what we put in. I've been trying to find info how online slots RTP actually works for a long time but haven't found a definitive answer. For offline slots it's easy to understand: RTP fluctuates on each individual machine, no matter who plays. Online slots are a different, just not sure how exactly. My best guess is all players, who play one particular game, at any given time, from every online casinos, are jumbled together, at the aggregator, to calculate the current RTP (aka TPRP.) Or maybe the online casinos grouped into clusters to avoid server overload at the aggregator. Still waiting for info from someone who actually know. Quote
