Affect Slots with your mouse cursor?

My friend i certain that You can affect the outcome of online slots by moving the cursor along the reels in various ways?

I keep telling him it's not possible, but he is certain of this. Can You guys give your view on this?

Theoretically, no player can ever induce changes to any game's outcome/spin result. Everyspin, every result has already been predetermined the instant the start/spin button  is pressed. Some players feel and even believe that certain ways of playing can affect the outcome of the game...this is only a pure belief and is actually non-scientifically proven.
