Payout - Do I have a hope?

Hello,

I recently joined a Playtech casino and was lucky enough to win a jackpot of approx $11000 of which I can only cash out $10000 in any 30 day period but that is not the issue. I live in Australia and we have a virtual credit card program called VCard. You purchase a voucher from participating outlets, then you need to register the voucher on the VCard website which then generates a Credit card number, Verification number (3 digits on the back of you normal credit card) and an expiry date and from there you can use it for online purchases as with any other credit card.

My dilemma is that we only have one Vcard account and that is in my partners name and of course I have used a vcard to make the deposit to the casino so I guess technically it is not in my name it is in my partners who is also a member of the same casino but did not use the card in question to deposit there.

I also have a debit card which I had used to previously deposit and have requested the withdrawal to this card, everything seemed ok and I provided a copy of my ID and the debit card as they requested and they were accepted and approved by the casino. A few hours later I got an email asking for a copy of the other card that I had registered on my account which of course is the vcard...... so I sent them a copy of the voucher and a screen shot from the VCard website showing the generated card no. and expiry date and my partners name. I received an email back saying:

Please note that we have received the copies of your card ending in 1929, however we were unable to approve them.

Please note that the names that the card is registered under differ from the ones you have registered on your account with us. Due to this, we are unable to approve the card's copies.

There was no mention of the pending withdrawal at all in this email just the fact that they could not approve the copies I had sent. I replied to the email asking how this would affect my pending withdrawal but I have not received a reply from them as yet. Can they flat out refuse to honour my withdrawal? I don't believe I have done anything underhanded unless the fact that the card is registered in my name on my casino account is all they need....... Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Swampy005:wacko:

that does not sound good i am afraid :( most casinos have a rule where you can't play there if someone else in your household already plays there and yes they can void the withdraw. next time i'd ask in advance so you don't get this dilemma.

with any luck they will just slap you on the wrist and give you your money but it's hard telling.

Thanks for your comments guys, it's a bit of a hairy one I know! I have conversed with the casino since my post and the question was........ could I confirm that the card was mine and if not then they would notify me of what else they required for me to send in. I told them technically the card/voucher was not and they sent back a mail to say that they were satisfied with what they had but it's still got to pass approval of the Finance team I believe........ But they have been very informative and courteous so far! Fingers Crossed :)

Hi

I made the withdrawal Saturday and I am glad to say that it has indeed been honoured! The casino has processed it from their end and now I am waiting for it to hit my visa account.

Cheers and thanks for the comments it's always good to get some feedback, positive or negative! :)

Playtech casinos are normally pretty good when it comes to payouts (I know, I promote a fair number of them on my blog), and the $10K in 30 days withdrawal limit is pretty standard too. You were a bit lucky though that they didn't enforce their rules - many casinos allow (and are strict about) only one casino account per HOUSEHOLD... it's never a good idea to have two players at the same casino from the same house.

Well done on your win though! That's awesome!

You can always look at the bottom of the casino website.Usually there you will find where and by whom the casino is registered! Then go to the website of the registering company or organization and submit an official complaint. You can hardly imagine how fast the response can be:)
