Deposit limits on new account

What is the general rules as a online gaming casino for a new account on deposit?

even when.no limit has not been selected ?

can you carry on deposited without been stopped?

this is for Uk players please

after you finally stopped and lost, the casino decided to limit you say 100 per month after you had lost over 2k 

is this legal, also when opening sister sites and doing it again ! Not once but few times 

they let you deposit and lose then they put the limit on you after !

Hi, sorry for no replies here. Did you set any deposit limits yourself? If not, then there probably won't be one on a new account.

Maybe from UK regulation to put you on limit. Idk much about UK reg since I'm not from UK.

In our country the Netherlands online gambling is legal for 4 months.  So we have 14 legal online casino's choosen by our Government.  We have to fill in all limits (number of hours, days, money) with registration and all is checked in a system. In that system addicted people are registrated. So if you do register in a (online) casino they always check your passport if you are in that register.

I have had this experience too. I have been on 2 sister casino sites here in the UK, they asked me initially to set limits but I wasn't bothered, I ignored it. I probably have lost slightly more than I've won but it wasn't much and it was never a problem as I do enjoy the games. Now these past days they don't allow me to deposit, they say I have "reached the deposit limit" - the deposit limit I never set!! They have just chosen to set one... and they don't even let me know exactly what this limit is! And they say that to lift this limit, I have to go on the chat and answer questions and "have my affordability assessed by them" . Which I'm obviously not doing. They have no right to assess me if I haven't given my consent!!

I used to really enjoy these 2 casino sites but I'm seriously thinking of just deleting them now. 

Does anyone know exactly what these limits are? Looking forward to hearing your comments guys!
