  1. Im posting a thread about a tournament we offer at Celtic Casino in case you are interested. Its pretty basic how it works. For every euro wagered you earn a point regardless if you win or lose, so you are basically competing against other players at the casino.

We reward the top 15 spots, 1st place earns 3000 euros, 2nd place earns 1000 euros, 3rd to 10th earns 200 euros and 11th to 15th wins 100 euros. The rewards are not attached to any wagering requirements so you can even withdrawal it immediately if needed.

Every month we switch it up from blackjack over to roulette or "All live games at once". This month is dedicated to Blackjack, so any form of blackjack will accumulate points immediately automatically.

If you have any questions just ask away and if you want the full info, here is the link to the thread :) :http://www.askgamblers.com/forum/topic/5903-check-out-celtic-casinos-monthly-live-tournament/

Thanks, I'm digging the tournaments right now! I'll try the black jack but I'm luckier at roulette

  2. Wish you luck with the tournament guys! :good:

And don't forget to keep us updated for your progress of course...

Thanks! I'm not 10th place like casperito but I am on the leader board. I will provide details after the event ends. Today is the last day, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to come out a winner :)

  3. Yes, I think skill-based games will be a big hit! I think a lot of people are drawn to games that have a luck-skill element. It is human nature to want to think that we have a hand in determining our fate. We want to attribute our success to our skill and hard work and blame losing on bad luck. The skill element is why poker is so wildly popular. It's not just the luck of the cards but how you play your hand. Furthermore, lots of people are familiar with games like tetris, candycrush, etc. If we could incorporate the familiarity of these games we are good at with the excitement of gambling, it would be wildly successful.

  4. Hmm you're right that I usually read the bonus T&C once but I don't check updates very often. And I know that it can come back to bite me on the butt in a number of ways (i.e. exceeding max bet) so thank you for the reminder. Why do you think the casinos are updating their bonus rules to exclude DoA?

  5. You've raised some really good points here actually and it's a great reply.

I'd like to comment on your

The sad fact of the matter is you're probably right and it ends up as a vicious circle. Going back a few years ago when my gambling was at its peak this was almost certainly true for me. Even the biggest of wins would end up back in the hands of several casinos. The more money I had in my bank the higher the deposits I could make and the more greedier I got to want to win.

However luckily for me I was able to break this vicious cycle and it certainly doesn't apply to me anymore. I'm now very careful how much I deposit and when I win I make sure it doesn't all go back into the casino. I've had to make this decision due to my own personal lifestyle changes, having more children now means I can't afford to gamble like I used to. And lucky for me addiction didn't take over!

I only wish that this 'vicious circle' would break for everyone!

That was a very open-hearted message from you, coco. I think you accurately captured the "vicious circle" that we all end up getting caught in to some degree. And I second your wish that it would be to easy to break for everyone. This thread is a very important and real side of the difficulties of being a gambler.

  6. Well, as we very well know, those bodies are NOT doing a good job! <_<

If I'm the owner of Playtech, for example, I'd follow what Mercedes and BMW and Jaguars are doing.

Stick to my rules and terms, or get kicked out!  :diablo:

Just imagine, if there is ONLY 1 fully authorized casino to market Playtech games!

A casino which sticks to the stipulated terms and rules 100% - product, sales and after sales services wise.

Any complaint from any customer, the casino has to answer directly to Playtech!

If any rules are broken, out goes that casino...another new one gets appointed! :girl_devil:

Can you imagine how many millions of customers that 1 casino will be having?!

All Playtech players being flocked together into one single casino...imagine the revenue and profits that one casino can make!!!

Sooner or later, other software providers and casinos will HAVE TO FOLLOW SUIT, in order to share that big big cake!

MG will follow suit...then NetEnt...then all others...and we customers will finally get casinos that we can trust 100%, regardless of the software provider! The ideal gambling reality.

Those regulating bodies, their jobs would be more like Inspectors of Licenses, policing the establishments for fraudulent activities, making sure that the terms of their licenses are adhered to 100%...bla...bla...bla... ^_^

Hmmm...maybe I should be the President of Malta! Hahaha.

I would vote for you if that were a thing! You are an infinite pool of knowledge. All hail President of Malta!!

  7. Okay Nicole,, I understand your issue and NO, you're not the only one out there. But of course, people will say quit cause they feel you are "venting and or complaining" but I don't feel you are. I feel you are simply asking if others "feel" the same way or "experience" what you have.

Let's face facts. Gambling has very few "big" winners, unless you hit the jackpot, which is rare. You may see many advertised but those are few in comparison to how may loose. The basic fact remains true. "The longer you gamble, the more odds are against you".

Are software companies cheating ? Well, I'm not sure which regulatory bodies monitor any of these but casinos open for profits and they make incredible profits. Do the like to pay out large winnings ? Reputable ones who are comfortable with their profits of course would be happy. It's advertising. Those that wait too long to pay out, get bad reviews and this is the only avenue we have to evaluate casinos, thanks to sites like ASK Gamblers".

I personally have had the same results as you have on some months. Matter of fact, I can't say I have won in the end playing on-line casinos when you add up all deposits and withdrawals but I really don't expect to make money playing casinos.

As for your questions about "Am I the only one" ,, of course not. The problem is most gamblers who win, big or small, eventually put everything back.  I know I have won over $15k in one night and gone in the next month. It's a fact of gambling and addiction. Unfortunate but true. We tend to chase our losses or attempt to increase our winnings = lose again.

So, are there better software providers like microgaming, netent, or other large ones? Not sure. Are RTM's real ? Who knows ? Do other people feel like you do,, "Of course". What to do about it if you don't want to stop ? Scale back and read about the casinos in places like this and you'll notice that almost every casinos get complaints. Do I like Netent or microgaming, 'NO". Why ? I don't find I have won in all the times I played.

Maybe we should start a new forum post, if one doesn't already exist, on " Who's a winner after 3 months?". and who's a loser after 3 months". Problem is not everyone is honest cause gamblers tend to lie about their losses to simply encourage themselves or hide their addictions. I"m not saying all gamblers but most.

Hope this at least answers some of your concerns.

I like your idea of starting a forum post about 3 month winnings/ losings and people can choose to post if they want, whether it be a really good three month pool or a losing three month streak. Even some people who hardcore play online don't keep careful track of the end balance (probably because they'd rather not know). This thread could encourage people to stop and check where they're at every few months. Since you thought of it I say you make it, honestdude!

  8. Good points there Princess, but I agree with you only on certain points.

Lets look at it in another perspective. Mercedes and BMW products (automobiles). I could include Rolls Royce, Lamborghini and a few other names, but those are real exclusives products, not for everyone. Not any dealer can sell Mercedes or BMW automobiles. They have very stringent requirements that dealers must meet, or be disqualified to be dealers. Unlike common automobiles, almost any dealer can sell them. That what makes such products stand out amongst the best in the market. Every aspect of the product, sales and after sales services are controlled and regulated. If any such dealer does not perform to the stipulated standards, they stand to lose their rights to sell those products and may even be disqualified to be their dealer.

If only software providers can stipulate and implement such ethics! No, I don't think they will, or even care to do. Money, money, money, as ABBA used to say, is all they can think of. You wanna market my product? Sure, no big deal! Just pay up and its all yours!

Actually, I really like this example too. It does a good job of re-framing the argument

  9. While I enjoyed your comparisons, I don't think any of them are directly applicable. I see it as something like this. Netent has a solid product, they sell it to second parties who then offer the product (the games) to third parties (us). If Netent is the product, the casinos are the commercial store we go to. You don't want the store to have dirty windows, poor customer service, and slow check-out lines. I don't think it's Netent's responsibility to make the changes to the T&C or CS of the casinos we choose to play at. Who should we point the finger at?

  10. I think it would be hard to get all of the casinos to agree to the idea, too. And it would only work if they all agreed to accept the casino passport. I think it's a tempting idea to cut down on sign-up time, document approval time, cash-out time, etc, and the amount of user fraud activity that occurs to take advantage of sign-up bonuses.

However, I don't think it's a good idea for all of the safety concerns and user right issues mentioned already. Basically, more regulations more problems
