Maybe you learn to make tea? LOL. After you watch the tea video then there is that video of people playing slots. It didn't make me feel like donating my usual couple hundred a night to my gambling addiction, it was boring. It reminded me of those 8-Liner machines they have in the back of gas stations here in the states - real classy.
Thanks for the feedback CrazyDiamond, I will take that on board and pass it on to my supervisors.

Thanks so much to everyone who has completed the survey so far. It will remain open for another 3 weeks or so if you would still like to give it a go!

Hey Luciana! Yep there is a timer on the page so you have to watch both videos in their entirety. Sorry, they are a little boring but thanks for giving it a go anyway. Charlie.

Hi everyone,
I just emailed admin and had my ban lifted. I am sorry not to have explained this better before posting/not being available to respond to any queries or problems people had.
Firstly, the survey is only intended to be used in a clinical sense and is not at all designed for commercial use.
Secondly, the videos used were uploaded from youtube to Qualtrics (the survey software used to create the online platform) because youtube videos are compatible with most internet browsers. These videos are not spam, the first is designed to be a neutral cue and the second, a gambling cue.
Finally, in terms of the video cues - one can only move forward to the next page once the 3-minute video has completed - an arrow will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This is now stated on the page where each video is displayed. Sorry if this caused some confusion.
It would be fantastic if anyone could complete the survey but I understand that it's 15 minutes that most of you probably don't have! If you do have the time though it would be greatly appreciated and will hopefully lead to some interesting results.
Thanks again,
Charlie.

My name is Charlie McKeith and I am currently undertaking an honours year in Psychology at the University of New England, NSW, Australia under the supervision of Dr Adam Rock and Dr Gavin Clark. As part of the honours year, we have decided to do a project on slot machine gambling behaviour in order to hopefully improve exposure therapies for gamblers. The survey is completely anonymous and has been approved by the ethics committee at the University of New England.
We are looking for people that have played slot machines an average of twice a month in the last 12 months
We would be really grateful if you could participate, as the study will hopefully lead to increased funding for gambling research as well as increased knowledge surrounding exposure therapies for gamblers. The survey should only take 15 minutes to complete and can be viewed here:
