nadoshark
I've got some questions about poker online as well as general casinos online. Poker-- I played poker for fun years ago online. What's the scene like today? Any actual 'live dealer' online poker games for the masses? Lastly, what's current online poker play missing? Casinos-- I've played some online casinos, everything from the electronic games to live dealer games. I have yet to see a single deck black jack game - live dealer, why is this? What other games are not really played live online that could be? Does anyone have a rough idea about the payment terms for casino operators licensing the live dealer games? It appears the live provider may charge a base and then split the profits? I'm curious if this is like $5k per month base fee for x number of games then the provider gets 20% of the take. If it's a smaller casino, would there be an option for $1k per month base fee and then 50% of the take?

copyyy
Poker scene is like always tbh, PS get's 100k players daily and let's not count other poker rooms that get 20-30k each. Problem with online poker nowadays is that they are missing real players lol as there are so many bots, and rooms do not care that much as they collect that sweet rake. The only room I see doing something against bots is partypoker and they publish almost every month how much users got caught using poker bot. nadoshark
Are all of the poker sites still software, no real live dealer sites? Are there any sites that open up their code to show their RNGs or show software code to help prove they are not cheating or allowing staff to see card hands? It just seems like there is a lot of faith in the poker houses (software based) that they are doing the right thing when it comes to the cards. From what I know there are still not any live dealer poker sites, PS,888poker,partypoker,natural8 everything is software, and no you do not get any proof beside them telling you that they get tested often blabla. I also played poker online quite a lot until several years ago. Even had vague pretensions of doing it more seriously, possibly making a living from it, until the US ban changed the entire landscape for the worse... Out of curiosity more than anything else, I recently popped onto the poker room at a major online bookie. Players were very few from what I could tell (no overall numbers advertised in the lobby as used to be the norm) and the games tight, based on average pot sizes. @copyyy has already detailed some of the reasons why and I'd already observed the situation for myself some time back. Still, I was a bit surprised and obviously disappointed at the barren rock garden I recently found, even if it wasn't one of the networks cited above. copyyy
Dave Morrison
The online gambling industry is changing fast in the US. There are states that are more liberal in terms of online sportsbooks and casinos. And some states are extremely rigid and have strict regulations when it comes to gambling in general. Even though there are a handful of states that have a regulated online gambling market, we are hopeful things will start to change for the better, and more states will join the group.
