CalvinMercer Posted Tuesday at 02:01 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:01 PM Why crypto casino withdrawals get stuck: the 1x wagering rule Seen this come up quite a few times in the "withdrawal pending" threads, so thought its worth explaining. Most crypto casinos have some kind of deposit turnover rule. Its mainly an AML thing. If someone deposits crypto, barely plays anything and then withdraws to a different wallet, that can look like they're just using the casino to move coins around. Shuffle is a good example of how this works: Normally you need to wager your deposit at least once (1x) before withdrawing. There's an exception if the funds go back to the same wallet address they came from, on the same blockchain network. If you haven't met the turnover and you're withdrawing somewhere else, the request can end up in manual review instead of going through automatically. But there's two other things people seem to mix up with this. Bonus wagering is a different story. At Shuffle it depends on the actual promotion, so not every bonus balance has the same withdrawal conditions. Worth checking those terms before claiming anything. Then there's KYC. Thats a separate check and it doesn't always have anything to do with bonuses. Sometimes they ask for documents even on a regular withdrawal. If the casino allows early verification, probably better to get it done before you actually need the money out. Curious if anyone's seen the same-address exception at other crypto casinos too? And have you ever had a withdrawal held up because of a turnover rule you didn't even know about when depositing? waffle_bandit, Afi4wins and kromed 2 1 Quote
kromed Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago casinos are pretty quick to accept deposits but suddenly all these rules show up when its time to cash out. AML makes sense, just wish they were more upfront about it waffle_bandit 1 Quote
waffle_bandit Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago Honestly the 1x wagering rule doesnt seem like a big problem to me. I get why casinos have it, otherwise people could just use them to move crypto between wallets without actually playing anything. What bothers me more is how poorly some casinos explain this stuff. You deposit, play a little, then try to withdraw and suddenly find out there's a turnover requirement. And support just sends you a link to some terms nobody really reads before depositing lol. Things like that should be clearly shown on the deposit page. The same wallet exception is a bit tricky too. A lot of people deposit straight from exchanges, and sending funds back to the original address isnt always safe or even possible. So that exception doesnt really help everyone. Also think casinos should make a better distinction between regular deposit wagering and bonus wagering. Those are two completely different things but people keep mixing them up. KYC is another story altogether. AML rules are understandable, no problem with that. Just feels like a lot of these withdrawal complaints could be avoided if casinos were more transparent from the start Afi4wins 1 Quote
